Study On The Impact Of Tourism On China’s Economic Growth

Tourism is an important strategic,pillar and comprehensive industry in the world economy.The development of China’s tourism industry started relatively late but developed rapidly.It has become one of the industries in China’s national economy which has the fastest development speed and has obvious international competitive advantages.Because of the differences in tourism resources,tourist facilities,tourism policy and the level of economic development,the impact of tourism development on different provinces and even the same province in different periods and different stages of economic growth may be different.Therefore,it is of great significance to the development of tourism and economic growth in China to study the impact of tourism on economic growth from the conditions of our country.In this paper,30 provinces and cities in China as the research object,the statistical yearbook of the provinces and cities,the Chinese Statistical Yearbook and the Chinese tourism statistics yearbook are used as the basic data,and the methods of comparative analysis and exploratory spatial data analysis are used.On the basis of examining the spatial correlation of economic growth,domestic tourism,inbound tourism and the development of the overall tourism industry,the impact of tourism on the economic growth of the three major regions of the country as a whole and in the East,middle and west regions is discussed,and a proposal to promote the development of tourism is put forward.The results show that the per capita GDP and tourism development have a significant spatial correlation,forming a high growth agglomeration in the eastern region and a low growth zone in the western region.Tourism development plays a significant role in promoting economic growth,and the promotion of tourism in the eastern region to economic growth is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions.The development of the inbound tourism industry in the central region has a great impact on economic growth,while the development of the domestic tourism in the East and west regions has contributed greatly to the economic growth,and the development of the inbound tourism in the western region has hindered the economic growth to a certain extent.The development of tourism as a whole has a significant positive spillover effect on economic growth,but the spillover effects of different regions and different market segments are slightly different.The main innovations of this paper are as follows: first,the effects of overall tourism,domestic tourism and inbound tourism on the economic growth of the country as a whole and the eastern,central and western regions are discussed respectively.Second,using a variety of comprehensive mathematical statistics and analysis methods,the three basic models of the spatial econometric model are considered synthetically.Third,the comprehensive should be integrated.The knowledge of spatial econometrics and geographic information science is used to make the analysis process and analysis results more believable.
