| Nowadays,traffic accidents frequently happen.Through the study on the cause of those traffic accidents,it is found that the common reasons include drivers lacking of credibility,improper operation,or non-effective emergency treatment,etc..Although the government has implemented a series of rules and regulations while transportation enterprises making relevant management mechanisms,for example,setting higher access requirements,promoting education and training system for drivers,and implementing accountability tracing system etc.,the roots of the problem is the lack of proper qualification of drivers themselves.As a result,apart from further strengthening the management of drivers by the government and enterprises,it is also necessary to focus on the drivers’ own qualifications,conducting a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of the drivers,ensuring the competency of drivers for the position,so as to minimize the internal factors that may lead to accidents and to provide a powerful guarantee for transport safety.Taking the M City Public Transportation Company as the research object,this thesis analyzes the competency of the drivers concerned,builds the Competency Model,and finds out the key competency factors,which provides an innovative improvement solution.Based on related researches on this topic home and abroad,this thesis summarizes basic indicators that may affect the drivers’ performance.Surveys and interviews of those drivers are conducted to get first-hand data or information on competency factors.A competency model on drivers of the M City Public Transportation Company is then built to complete the competency factors analysis and finally 10 key competency factors are found.A series of competency improvement solutions are proposed,including enhanced recruitment process,optimized salary stimulating system,internal training,complete internal promotion mechanism,as well as performance assessment etc. |
