Research On The Influencing Factors Of Export Competitiveness Of Chinese Agricultural Enterprises From The Perspective Of Innovation Drive

Agriculture is the core industry in China and also the backbone of the national economy.Promoting agricultural product exports is of great significance in promoting the modernization of agriculture,increasing farmers’ income,and promoting rural economic development.However,for a long time,China’s agricultural enterprises have lacked innovation capability,resulting in low export competitiveness and a continuous expansion of the trade deficit in agricultural products.This has seriously affected the long-term sustainable development of China’s agricultural industry.Therefore,under the background of global food crisis and rural revitalization in China,it is urgent to study how to improve the export competitiveness of China’s agricultural enterprises.Based on the data of agricultural listed companies in the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share markets from 2007 to 2021,this article uses a fixed-effect regression model to empirically analyze the impact of innovation input on the export competitiveness of China’s agricultural enterprises.At the same time,it analyzes the intermediary mechanism of enterprise innovation output and industry status in this process.Based on the heterogeneity of enterprise property rights,internal control level,and financing constraints,robustness and endogeneity tests are conducted to ensure the reliability of the research results.The research results show that innovation input by Chinese agricultural enterprises can significantly enhance their export competitiveness,which will be achieved through mechanisms such as increasing enterprise innovation output and improving their industry status.For agricultural enterprises with different property rights,non-state-owned enterprises have a more prominent effect on enhancing export competitiveness through innovation input.For agricultural enterprises with different internal control levels,enterprises with higher internal control levels have a stronger effect on export competitiveness growth under the influence of innovation input.For agricultural enterprises with different financing constraints,enterprises with higher financing constraints are more sensitive to this promoting effect.Based on the research conclusions,this article puts forward multiple suggestions from the perspectives of the government and enterprises.The government should strengthen policy support for agricultural enterprises,encourage them to increase innovation input,and improve their independent innovation capabilities.It should also improve the management mechanism of stateowned enterprises,promote the brand construction of agricultural enterprises,and guide them to expand their business on the industrial chain.A good financial environment should be created to reduce financing constraints,and agricultural enterprises can establish talent training mechanisms,introduce modern enterprise systems,transform their development modes,and improve their internal control levels to enhance their export competitiveness.
