The Impact Of Digital Economy On Industrial Structure Upgradin

The 20 th Party Congress report pointed out that we should accelerate the development of digital economy,promote the deep integration of digital economy and real economy,and create digital industry clusters with international competitiveness.The digital economy has the characteristics of high innovation,strong penetration and wide coverage,which helps to innovate new models,give rise to new industries,develop new markets and stimulate new demand,and it is both a new economic growth point and a fulcrum to transform and upgrade traditional industries.At present,China is in a critical period of economic transformation,how to give full play to the digital economy to promote the upgrading of industrial structure,promote the development of industry to high-end,industrial structure to rationalize the evolution of the theoretical and practical significance to accelerate economic transformation and achieve highquality development.Firstly,based on neoclassical economics,new institutional economics and innovation theory,we analyze the impact of digital economy on industrial structure;secondly,we construct a digital economy development index system from two perspectives: Internet development level and digital financial inclusion,and use principal component analysis to measure the development level of digital economy in271 prefecture-level cities from 2011—2019,and measure the upgrading and rationalization of industrial structure from two perspectives.Again,using the fixedeffects model,we empirically analyze the impact of digital economy on industrial structure upgrading,and examine the differentiation of the impact of digital economy on industrial structure upgrading from the perspective of geographical location and digital economy development level.Finally,the transmission mechanism of digital economy on industrial structure upgrading is tested empirically.It is found that(1)the digital economy can effectively promote the upgrading of industrial structure and advance the advanced and rationalization of industrial structure.(2)There are differences in the impact effects of digital economy on industrial structure upgrading.From the regional point of view,the digital economy has the best effect in promoting industrial structure upgrading in the eastern region,followed by the western region,and can promote industrial structure rationalization in the central region,but the effect of promoting industrial structure advanced is not obvious;from the point of view of the development level of digital economy,the effect of promoting industrial structure upgrading by digital economy is more obvious in the low level region,while the effectiveness is weakened in the high level region.(3)Mechanism analysis finds that digital economy can promote industrial structure upgrading by promoting innovation activity in cities.Based on the results of the empirical analysis,the following suggestions are made to give full play to the effectiveness of the digital economy,promote industrial structure upgrading,and facilitate high-quality economic development: First,vigorously develop the digital economy and improve the level of digital economy development.Second,optimize the structure of digital economy and coordinate the balanced development among regions.Third,adhere to the innovation breakthrough strategy and amplify the marginal effect of digital economy.
