Research On The Impact Of Digital Economy On The Transformation And Upgrading Of My Country's Manufacturing Industr

At present,in the process of China’s manufacturing industry from large to strong,the traditional manufacturing industry overcapacity,lack of effective demand,weak innovation and other problems become increasingly prominent,and the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry is imminent.Digital economy,with its digital information and knowledge,may have an impact on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.Human capital is an important driving factor for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.Will digital economy affect the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry through human capital? This paper empirically analyzes the impact of digital economy on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry and the role of human capital in it.This paper first defines the concept of digital economy and establishes a digital economy measurement system,which contains 19 indicators from three dimensions:digital industrialization,industrial digitization and digital governance.Entropy method is adopted to measure the development level of digital economy at provincial level and analyze the development level of digital economy in 30 provinces(municipalities and autonomous regions)during 2013-2020.The results show that within the time limit of the study,the development level of digital economy in Chinese provinces presents a stable rising trend,but there are great differences among regions.The development level of digital economy in eastern coastal areas is relatively high,while that in central and western areas is relatively backward.This paper empirically analyzes the influence of digital economy on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the whole country and the eastern,central and western regions by constructing the provincial time dual fixed model,and adds the intermediary effect model to test the role of human capital in the influence of digital economy on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.The findings are as follows: 1.The development level of digital economy is positively correlated with the rationalization and upgrading of the structure of manufacturing industry.For every 1% increase in the development level of digital economy,the rationalization level of the structure of manufacturing industry increases by 5.298% and the upgrading level of the advanced level of manufacturing industry increases by 1.716%.The results of regional regression show that the improvement of digital economy development level in the eastern region has a significant positive impact on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,while in the central and western regions,the impact is not significant.Third,the intermediary effect of human capital is established in the impact of digital economy development on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The development of digital economy also has a positive impact on the realization of effective human capital,and human capital can help rationalize the structure of manufacturing industry and promote the construction of high-grade.Fourth,the intermediary effect of human capital is still established in the eastern region.The digital economy in the eastern region can significantly promote the accumulation of human capital and then affect the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry,and the influence coefficient is higher than the national level.Based on the empirical research conclusion,this paper makes the following suggestions: 1.Increase capital input,strengthen digital industrialization and industrial digitization construction;2.Promote the coordinated development of digital economy among regions in light of local conditions;3.Raise the level of human capital and energize the upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
