Abstract/Summary:
The digital economy is developing rapidly, with increasingly diverse application scenarios, and new technologies, new elements and new forms of business are deeply integrated with traditional industries. In the industrial sector of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the industrial Internet has become an important carrier of industrial empowerment. At the same time, the traditional manufacturing industry faces such problems as insufficient effective demand, excess capacity and unbalanced regional development. The transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry urgently needs the empowerment of the digital economy. However,in the process of transformation and upgrading of digital economy enabling manufacturing industry, the specific enabling path and enabling effect are still unclear.Based on this,it is of great significance to study the enabling path and estimate the enabling effect for promoting the transformation and upgrading of digital economy enabling manufacturing industry.Based on the causal discovery algorithm and the SDID model, this thesis takes the Yangtze River Economic Belt as the research area, explores the enabling path of digital economy enabling the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and estimates the enabling effect.First,on the basis of concept definition and theoretical analysis, the index system of core variables is determined and measured.Secondly,in order to avoid the subjective randomness of the selection of control variables in the empirical analysis, the feasibility of the traditional regression analysis structure is discussed by combining the causal relationship discovery algorithm, theoretical analysis and status analysis.Thirdly, due to the influence of untested confounding and selection bias, exogenous policy intervention is added for processing, and relevant policies are combined with the formulation of standards.Again, the causal relationship is used to discover the algorithm to identify the enabling path, and a more stable set of control variables is selected. Finally, the fixed effect model is used to improve SDID,and the total enabling effect and each enabling intermediary effect are estimated. At the same time, based on the actual situation, switching control variables, switching measurement methods and switching intervention time points are selected to confirm the robustness of the model and results. The research shows that:(1)The development of the digital economy will help promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.During the sample period,if other conditions are certain, the upgrade level of manufacturing in the Yangtze River Economic Belt will be increased by about 5% for every unit increase in the development level of digital economy.(2)The digital economy has an enabling effect on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Influenced by the development stage, the resource enabling path focusing on the internal development of enterprises has not been opened, which mainly comes from the structural enabling effect focusing on the external enterprise, indicating that "enabling" is more important than "empowering".(3)For the structural enabling path, the effect of simple structural enabling accounts for a relatively low proportion. It is mainly the synergistic effect of structural enabling on resource enabling that affects the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. The contribution is about 90%,indicating that the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry depends more on the synergistic effect of structural enabling so far.
