——Examination Based on the Spatial Layout of the Industry ChainWith the profound changes in the global industrial economic situation and further adjustment of the industrial competition pattern,China’s original manufacturing expansion path relying on the "demographic dividend" effect is facing the challenge of low-end locking and being marginalized,and it is urgent to cultivate new dynamic energy.In addition,the new crown epidemic has accelerated the adjustment of the global industrial chain supply chain pattern to regionalization and diversification,and the stability and security of China’s industrial chain supply chain is facing significant risks.In the face of such a change in the economic situation,the central government proposed to build a new development pattern of domestic and international dual cycle to promote each other.Whether from the consideration of industrial security or from the consideration of the goal of high-quality development,getting rid of the inherent low-cost competition and scale expansion mode and promoting the digital transformation of manufacturing industry are the necessary way to transform and upgrade the manufacturing industry under the new development pattern.On the one hand,digital economy reconstructs the layout of manufacturing industry chain in digital space and physical space,and effectively smooths the domestic circulation;on the other hand,digital economy can promote China’s manufacturing industry to climb up to the high-end of the value chain,and win greater profit space and discourse power for manufacturing industry to integrate into the international cycle.Therefore,under the new development pattern of internal and external circulation,digital economy has become a new dynamic energy for upgrading China’s manufacturing industry.Currently,developed countries have regarded the digital economy as an important strategy to revitalize the real economy and seize the high ground of global competition.Since the 18 th Party Congress,the Party Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core,has attached great importance to the driving role of the digital economy on the real economy in integrated development,and elevated it to a national strategy.The Fifth Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee proposed "promoting the integrated development of the Internet and the economy and society";the 19 th CPC National Congress proposed "accelerating the development of advanced manufacturing industries and promoting the deep integration of the Internet,big data,artificial intelligence and the real economy";the Fifth Plenary Session of the19 th CPC Central Committee pointed out "promote digital industrialization and industrial digitization,and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy".Based on the above background,this dissertation measures the level of digital development of China’s digital economy and manufacturing industry chain,analyzes its regional characteristics,and explores the location selection of manufacturing industry chain layout and manufacturing upgrade countermeasures driven by digital economy,which can not only enrich the relevant theoretical basis of digital economy-driven real economy development to a certain extent,but also provide useful countermeasure guidance for China’s manufacturing upgrade in the era of digital economy.It has important theoretical significance and practical significance.In this dissertation,we start from the "reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain layout driven by digital economy" and study the "upgrading of manufacturing industry" as the final goal.On the one hand,"reasonable layout of manufacturing industry chain" and "upgrading of manufacturing industry" are two important aspects of high-quality development of China’s manufacturing industry;on the other hand,"reasonable layout of manufacturing industry chain" can promote reasonable distribution of factor resources,reduce regional disparity,and achieve more efficient and comprehensive development of manufacturing industry.can promote the reasonable distribution of factor resources,narrow the regional gap,and realize the "manufacturing upgrade" in China more efficiently and comprehensively.Therefore,the research on the reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain layout driven by digital economy can not only improve the supply chain resilience of China’s manufacturing industry chain,but also provide a path for the upgrading of manufacturing industry,and the two are complementary to each other.The main research contents and conclusions of this dissertation are as follows:First,literature combing and theoretical foundation.In the combing of related literature,it is found that,firstly,the current research on the relationship between digital economy and manufacturing industry chain is mostly conducted from the perspective of global value chain division of labor and supply chain,but rarely correlates digital economy,industry chain layout and manufacturing industry upgrading;secondly,the research on digital economy and manufacturing industry upgrading is mostly conducted from the perspective of the relationship,mechanism of action and heterogeneity between the two,but the research on digital Secondly,the research on digital economy and manufacturing upgrading is mostly conducted from the perspective of the relationship,mechanism of action and heterogeneity between the two,but the research on digital economy is not uniformly defined and ignores the spatiality and integration of digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrading.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct systematic research on the spatial layout of manufacturing industry chain driven by digital economy and the upgrading of manufacturing industry in China,so as to formulate more scientific countermeasures and suggestions for the upgrading of manufacturing industry driven by digital economy in China.Second,the basic facts of China’s digital economy and manufacturing development are analyzed.Firstly,the evaluation system of digital economy is constructed,and the results are measured by the entropy value method,and the regional characteristics of China’s digital economy and the development level of each secondary index are shown by GIS spatial distribution map.Secondly,we review and sort out the general rules of the evolution of China’s manufacturing industry chain development.Again,the spatial layout of China’s manufacturing industry chain is determined by measuring the competitiveness of manufacturing industries and the industrial transfer index.Finally,the index system is constructed from the scale dimension,structure dimension,innovation dimension,efficiency dimension and energy ring dimension to evaluate the realistic level of China’s manufacturing industry upgrading.Third,the mechanism analysis of the digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrading based on the spatial layout of manufacturing industry chain.Firstly,the mechanism of the digital economy driving the spatial layout reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain is analyzed,and it is found that the digital economy can promote the spatial layout reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain based on the docking mechanism of production system,the docking mechanism of consumption system and the docking mechanism of two-way cooperation;secondly,the mechanism of the digital economy driving manufacturing industry upgrade is analyzed,and it is found that the digital economy mainly promotes the spatial layout reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain through the enabling mechanism of digital infrastructure,the enabling mechanism of digital integration Finally,we analyze the synergistic mechanism of digital economy,spatial layout of manufacturing industry chain and manufacturing industry upgrade,and believe that the digital economy drives the spatial layout of manufacturing industry chain reconstruction by means of industrial transfer,which can realize the synergistic upgrade of transferring out and transferring in.Fourth,the empirical analysis of the digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrading.First,the stepwise test determines the model form,measures the spatial effect of digital economy on manufacturing upgrading,and analyzes the regional heterogeneity.Secondly,the digitalization level of manufacturing industry chain is used as the threshold value to analyze the threshold characteristics of digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrading.The results show that the digital economy can effectively drive the upgrading of manufacturing industry in the east and central regions of China,but the driving effect on the upgrading of manufacturing industry in the west is not obvious.The reason for this regional heterogeneity is that the digital economy has a significant driving effect on the upgrading of manufacturing industry only when the digitalization level of manufacturing industry chain reaches a certain level.Fifth,based on the spatial layout of manufacturing industry chain,the effect of digital economy on manufacturing upgrading is tested again.First,with the help of classical theory,we analyze the path of the digital economy through driving the reconfiguration of manufacturing industry chain layout to realize the upgrading of manufacturing industry.Secondly,according to the results of the path theory analysis,a mediating effect model is constructed to test the path.The results show that digital economy can change the opportunity cost of factors of manufacturing enterprises and change the spatial layout of industrial chain based on factor division of labor,and this layout change can promote total factor productivity improvement of manufacturing industry from microscopic point of view and upgrade of manufacturing industry from macroscopic point of view,while total factor productivity improvement is the basis of industrial upgrade.Sixth,the discussion and foresight of digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrade.The overall idea of digital economy-driven manufacturing upgrade should be divided into two aspects: digital transformation of industrial chain and reasonable spatial layout of industrial chain.Firstly,we should divide the digital transformation echelon and carry out ladder digital transformation.In the specific path arrangement,the first echelon should lay out the future digital industry ahead of time;the second echelon should build the industrial Internet ecosystem;the third echelon should build a typical demonstration area;the fourth echelon should improve the digital infrastructure construction.Secondly,the spatial layout of China’s manufacturing industry chain is planned in a geese formation,and the manufacturing city cluster is built as a support based on the digital economy.In terms of specific path arrangement,the eastern region should give play to its technical advantages and accelerate the orderly transfer of industries;the central region should build an industrial biosphere and cultivate specialized core capabilities;the western region should make reasonable use of resources and build resource-based industrial bases.The innovation of this dissertation is mainly reflected in three aspects: Firstly,it tries to make a comprehensive analysis of the digital economy and the digital development level of manufacturing industry chain in China;Secondly,it tries to study the driving effect of digital economy on manufacturing industry upgrading in a more scientific way,and analyzes the differences of the driving effect under different levels of industry chain digitalization;Thirdly,it is a pioneering analysis of the path of the digital economy to achieve industrial upgrading by driving the reconstruction of manufacturing industry chain layout,and tries to explore the direction of optimizing the layout of manufacturing industry chain in China. |
