A Study On The Spatial-Temporal Pattern And Evolution Of Foreign Trade Efficiency Of Urban Agglomerations In China

As a basic form of international economic exchanges,foreign trade is a link between countries and plays an important role in international economic exchanges and globalization.As an important pillar and driving force of China ’s economic development,foreign trade is a key link to achieve high-quality development and Chinese-style modernization.As the highest spatial organization form of mature urban development,the urban agglomeration is an objective reflection of economic development and industrial agglomeration,and also an important support for China ’s foreign trade activities.It can be built into a strategic fulcrum to achieve high-quality development of foreign trade and Chinese-style modernization through the full play of the agglomeration effect of urban agglomeration on foreign trade resources.Under the guidance of the " 14 th Five-Year Plan," improving the efficiency of China ’s foreign trade by giving full play to the agglomeration effect of urban agglomerations on resources provides an important opportunity to further accelerate China ’s high-quality development and Chinese-style modernization and enhance China ’s voice in foreign trade activities.In this study,the foreign trade efficiency of 19 urban agglomerations in China is taken as the research object.According to the agglomeration diffusion effect and crowding effect of urban development,the index system and theoretical framework of foreign trade efficiency evaluation of China ’s urban agglomerations are constructed,and the three-stage data envelopment method(DEA)and index analysis are further used to measure the foreign trade efficiency of China ’s urban agglomerations from 2010 to 2019.On this basis,the spatial and temporal pattern of foreign trade efficiency of 19 urban agglomerations in China is studied by using GIS spatial trend surface analysis and spatial evolution pattern analysis.This paper explores the development trend of foreign trade efficiency of China ’s urban agglomerations,and uses mathematical models to construct the development curve of foreign trade efficiency of China ’s urban agglomerations.By calculating its climbing threshold and conducting simulation verification,the evolution of foreign trade efficiency development of China ’s 19 urban agglomerations over the years is observed.The results show that: 1 The foreign trade efficiency of China ’s urban agglomerations shows a wave-like growth trend,and the central cities have an evolutionary trend of agglomeration and diffusion effects on resources during the development of urban agglomerations.Second,the foreign trade efficiency of China ’s urban agglomerations is spatially unbalanced,and the efficiency value is affected by factors such as the city ’s economic development level and technological innovation environment.The intensity of resource agglomeration in the cities under the jurisdiction of the urban agglomeration is increasing,but there is a limitation of the integration threshold.Finally,the study gives policy recommendations for the improvement of foreign trade efficiency of China’s urban agglomerations.
