A Study On The Spatialand Temporal Evolution Of China’s Provincial Foreign Trade Competitiveness

In the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,we must speed up the construction of a powerful trade country.At present,China has been deeply integrated into the world economy and the global trading system,and its status in the world economy is also continuously rising,and its ties with the world,especially economic ties,are closer.In the future,China’s pace of building a trade power should be further accelerated.To this end,we should develop new business forms and models and cultivate new competitive advantages.Open up the foreign trade blockage of enterprises and improve the level of trade facilitation;Optimizing the international market layout and promoting the integration of domestic and foreign trade have become the focus of China’s foreign trade development in the future.Based on the above background,this paper aims to provide instructive research results for the promotion of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness,and puts forward valuable policy suggestions as the core goal.Firstly,through literature review,the theoretical connotation of foreign trade competitiveness is clarified,and the theoretical framework and mathematical function model of temporal and spatial evolution of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness are put forward.Then,by constructing a comprehensive evaluation system of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness,the foreign trade competitiveness of China’s provinces during 2010-2020 was measured,and Arc Gis software was used to analyze the spatial trend surface and spatial evolution pattern of the measured results.Finally,using numerical simulation method to simulate and verify the evolution law of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness,explore the development law of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness.Through the above research,we find that: first,the spatial pattern of foreign trade competitiveness of China’s provinces generally presents the characteristics of "low in the west and high in the east","low in the north and south,high in the middle",and different regions also have their own unique trends;Second,the spatio-temporal evolution of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness presents a spatial differentiation;Third,the development of China’s provincial foreign trade competitiveness generally conforms to the law of fluctuation and rise.Based on the above research findings,this paper puts forward policy suggestions for improving the foreign trade competitiveness of China’s provinces from three aspects: strengthening the support of vulnerable regions,grasping the regional characteristics of different regions,and building a multi-party coordinated development pattern.
