| With the increase of national income and economic level,people’s attention to leisure activities is increasing,which further expands the potential of tourism market demand.In order to win more tourism consumers,tourism suppliers are constantly upgrading their tourism products and improving the quality of tourism services,which makes the competition among tourism markets more and more intense.Through the quantitative evaluation of China’s provincial tourism competitiveness and the study of spatial and temporal divergence patterns,it helps to grasp the current situation and development trend of provincial tourism competitiveness as a whole,and provides the necessary basis for the rational allocation and spatial layout optimization of tourism destination resources and elements.From the spatial perspective,we explore the spatial and temporal differentiation pattern of tourism competitiveness and its influencing factors,and provide the necessary decision-making support for enhancing tourism competitiveness and strengthening regional tourism cooperation.Based on the research model of "element-pattern-process-mechanism",the study is based on "comprehensive evaluation system of tourism competitiveness(element)-quantification and evaluation of tourism competitiveness(pattern)"-spatial and temporal differentiation of tourism competitiveness(process)-influencing factors and spatial effects of tourism competitiveness(mechanism)" as the main line of research,using gray correlation method,kernel density estimation analysis,Markov chain model,spatial autocorrelation method,standard deviation ellipse method and Spatial econometric models are used to empirically analyze the level of tourism competitiveness,spatial and temporal evolution patterns and the spatial effects of its influencing factors in 30 provinces from 2011 to 2020,and to reveal the inner mechanism and driving mechanism of tourism competitiveness improvement.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The overall tourism competitiveness level of each Chinese province is on the rise,the tourism competitiveness evolves from bipolar to multipolar,the gradient effect is enhanced,and the regional gap is gradually reduced.(2)The global spatial autocorrelation exists in the tourism competitiveness of Chinese provinces,and the global Moran index is positive,and pass the significance test,indicating that the spatial relationship of tourism competitiveness is relatively close,and there is a significant positive spatial correlation,which presents a significant positive spatial aggregation feature in geography and can play a certain radiation-driven role.(3)In terms of spatial distribution,the distribution range of tourism comprehensive competitiveness gradually converges,showing a trend of concentration,and the rotation angle rotates along the clockwise direction,showing an obvious northeast(eastward)-southwest(westward)regional development trend,with the spatial center concentrated in Henan Province.(4)The level of economic development,openness to the outside world,transportation location conditions,education level,science and technology innovation have a significant positive relationship on the comprehensive competitiveness of tourism.The indirect effect of economic development level is negative,indicating that the economic development level of neighboring regions will inhibit the comprehensive competitiveness of tourism in this region. |
