| In the era of knowledge economy,science and technology innovation has become the leading force to promote economic and social development.Cities are not only an important space for economic and social development,but also an important carrier for nurturing scientific and technological innovation.China’s urbanization process has made world-renowned achievements and entered the bottleneck period when the "factor-driven" urbanization model is unsustainable.How to realize the synergistic development of urbanization and science and technology innovation and thus magnify the multiplier effect of both on economic and social development has become an urgent problem in China.At present,academic research on the synergistic development of urbanization and science and technology innovation is still limited to the measurement of the level of coordination between the two and the division of their stages,but the form of their coupled and coordinated development,the influencing factors and the driving mechanism have not been thoroughly explored.The Yangtze River Delta region is a high-level development region of urbanization and science and technology innovation in China,and an experience summary of the coordinated development of urbanization and science and technology innovation in the Yangtze River Delta region will help to improve the development level of other regions in China.First,this paper defines the concepts of urbanization,science and technology innovation and coupling coordination.In order to facilitate the study of the structural coupling and elemental coupling evolution form of science and technology innovation and urbanization,this paper divides the science and technology innovation system into five major subsystems of innovation input,innovation output,innovation diffusion,innovation environment and innovation performance from the process viewpoint,and divides the urbanization system into three major segments of economic development,social development and spatial development,by constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system with the help of SPSS software.The variation coefficient weighting method is used to make a comprehensive evaluation of the development level of science and technology innovation and urbanization in prefecture-level and above cities in the Yangtze River Delta from 2005 to 2019.Subsequently,this paper analyzes the forms of coupling and structural coupling of science and technology innovation and urbanization elements from the perspective of dynamic evolution,and explores the evolution law of coupled and coordinated development of science and technology innovation and urbanization with the help of DPS data processing system and Arc GIS10.2,using coupling coordination degree model and gray correlation analysis method.Finally,this paper starts from three aspects: market factors,industrial factors and social factors,and adopts the spatial panel Durbin model with the help of Stata 17.0 software to explore the external influencing factors of the coupled and coordinated development of urbanization and science and technology innovation,and their influencing mechanisms on the coupled and coordinated development of urbanization and science and technology innovation.By completing the above work,this paper draws the following main conclusions:(1)In terms of the evolution of the spatial pattern of urbanization level and science and technology innovation capacity in the Yangtze River Delta,urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta has undergone an evolutionary process starting from the core cities,extending along the traffic arteries and finally pan-homogenizing;the process of science and technology innovation lags behind the urbanization process and shows a high process fitting feature with the latter in terms of the evolution of the spatial pattern;(2)In the evaluation of the coupled and coordinated development level of science and technology innovation and urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta,the spatial spillover effect of the coupled and coordinated development of the two systems increases with the increase of the coupled and coordinated development level,and the enhancement of science and technology innovation capacity is more critical to the coupled and coordinated development of the two systems;(3)In terms of the form of coupling between science and technology innovation and urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta,factor coupling focuses on high-end factors under the triple influence of agglomeration effect,spillover effect and extrusion effect,and the competition for innovation factors within the Yangtze River Delta region is becoming more and more intense;structural coupling forms three development paths,showing significant stage characteristics,and the degree of social development is the key to the coupling between science and technology innovation and urbanization;functional coupling realizes the function invocation and function supplement between factors and systems under the influence of agglomeration effect and diffusion effect;(4)In terms of the coupling mechanism between science and technology innovation and urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta In terms of mechanism,the market mechanism promotes the coordinated development of science and technology innovation and urbanization through price guidance,market competition and foreign trade;the factor flow in the industrial mechanism is affected by the polarization effect and does not play a significant role in promoting the coordinated development of the two systems;in the social mechanism,the conflict of interests among local governments leads to irrational competitive behavior,which is not conducive to the coordinated development of the two systems,and the promotion of higher education can effectively The spatial spillover effect is not significant,and the promotion of higher education can effectively promote the coupled and coordinated development of local science and technology innovation and urbanization.Based on the above findings,the following policy insights are obtained from this paper:(1)continuously track the coupling form of science and technology innovation and urbanization,grasp the key coupling points,and prepare the elements for the enhancement of the coordinated development level of science and technology innovation and urbanization;(2)pay attention to and respect the evolutionary law of the coupled and coordinated development of science and technology innovation and urbanization,and each city should fully recognize the development stage it is in and find the key grasp for enhancing the coupled and coordinated development of science and technology innovation and urbanization;(3)strengthen the coordinating role of the central government in the coordinated development of the region,establish a risksharing mechanism and benefit compensation mechanism for the regional industrial chain,and strengthen the industrial cooperation within the region. |
