| The land system affects the living standard of farmers and plays a very important role in the social and economic development of rural areas, which is a part of socialist modernization. With most of the young rural laborers moving to the cities to work, many places have a land abandonment phenomenon, which is very unfavorable to rural economic development. At present, although China’s rural land transfer has formed a certain scale, the traditional land transfer method has a high cost, low efficiency, and single form of transfer, which can not meet the needs of agricultural modernization development. Therefore,China needs to accelerate the rural land transfer to realize large-scale rural land operations, improve the efficiency of rural land use and promote rural economic development.Changling County of Jilin Province as a major agricultural county, effectively improve the local rural economy and farmers’ income by improving its land transfer efficiency. From the land transfer work that has been carried out in Changling County, rural land scale operation and agricultural mechanization have been significantly improved, which has promoted the development of the rural economy in Changling County. This paper analyzes the factors and extent of farmers’ willingness to transfer land in Changling County,so that the local government can formulate a land transfer policy that is more in line with the local characteristics from the perspective of farmers, thereby improving the enthusiasm of farmers in Changling County to participate in land transfer and promoting the large-scale land operation and economic development of Changling County. This paper compares the relevant domestic and international literature and conducts fieldwork to design a questionnaire that reflects the current situation of land transfer in Changling County, and collates the results of 334 valid questionnaires.A logistic binary regression model was used to analyze the influence and degree of farmers’ willingness to participate in land transfer in four aspects: individual characteristics, family characteristics, intergenerational mobility, and policy awareness level, and thirteen significant variables were found to influence farmers’ willingness to participate in land transfer. The study found that.(1)The existing problems of land transfer in Changling County: are farmers’ old age and high dependence on the land,a single object of transfer and imperfect transfer platform,an inadequate price system for land transfer and irregular transactions, and low government publicity and insufficient attention.(2)The variables with positive significant effects are education level, the number of non-farm employment, household non-farm income, children’s education level, children’s residence type, children’s household registration type, children’s income means, living and production conditions and participation in social security;the variables with negative significant effects are age, health status,non-farm livelihood ability, and household agricultural income;gender, per capita arable land area, policy awareness The variables of age, health status,non-farm livelihood ability, and household farm income had negative significant effects.Based on the above findings,we propose countermeasures to improve the willingness of Changling County farmers to transfer their land from three aspects:enhancing non-farm employment opportunities, developing diversified vocational skills training, and improving local policies related to land transfer. |
