Driven by the fourth industrial revolution,the digital wave has swept the world,and countries around the world have begun to explore new business forms of enterprise development under the digital background.International Data Corporation(IDC)predicts that the world will enter the era of the digital economy in 2023,and the output value of the digital economy will account for 62% of global GDP.At the same time,China also regards "accelerating digital development and building a digital China" as the action plan for its future development.The digital economy is gradually becoming the strategic choice and key support for China to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern with the domestic big cycle as the main body and the domestic and international double cycles promoting each other.At the same time,in order to cope with the highly uncertain and complex business environment in the post-epidemic era,driven by the requirements of economic recovery and macroeconomic policies,digital transformation is accelerating to become an inevitable choice for the survival and development of enterprises.With the development of the digital economy,the research on digital transformation has also been deepening.Due to the high risk and uncertainty of the transformation process,the antecedent mechanism of digital transformation is gradually becoming the focus of current research.The research focuses on external factors such as digital technology,transformation strategy,resources or capabilities,enterprise characteristics,management characteristics,etc.With the rapid development of information technology,massive data are generated globally every day.Enterprise managers also realize that big data is the strategic asset of enterprises in the future,and need to constantly cultivate big data capabilities to fully explore the value of big data,combine big data with transformation,and realize the digitalization and automation of business operations,So as to improve the efficiency of enterprise operation and stimulate new business models.However,the current research on the relationship between big data capability and digital transformation is still at the phenomenological level,and the explanation of how enterprises conduct digital transformation in the context of big data is at the normative level.It has not clearly demonstrated the path mechanism between big data capability and digital transformation,the focus on the boundary conditions in digital transformation is too single,and the focus on transformation research in the context of China’s market is insufficient.To sum up,based on the dynamic capability theory and resource-based view,this paper uses the 320 questionnaires collected from 17 provinces in China,uses SPSS26.0 and AMOS 25.0 software to test and analyze the research hypothesis,and finally obtains the empirical analysis results and discusses the empirical test of the direct relationship between enterprise big data capability and digital transformation,as well as the intermediary effect of organizational agility between the two,Based on the Chinese cultural background and the characteristics of frequent technological changes in the digital era,this paper examines the regulatory effect of the dynamic relationship culture and technological environment on big data capabilities and digital transformation.The results show that big data capability is positively correlated with digital transformation,and organizational agility plays an intermediary role between big data capability and digital transformation;Relationship culture has a negative moderating effect between data perception and recognition ability,in-depth analysis and insight ability,and digital transformation,while the moderating effect between data integration ability and digital transformation is not significant;The dynamic nature of the technological environment has a positive regulatory effect between data perception and recognition ability,data integration ability and digital transformation,but the regulatory effect between in-depth analysis and insight ability and digital transformation are not significant.The contributions of this study are as follows: First,this study starts with big data capability,explores the impact mechanism of big data capability,an important dynamic capability,on digital transformation,and expands the research perspective of digital transformation;Secondly,this study introduces the organizational agility variable and verifies its intermediary role between big data capability and digital transformation,revealing the transmission path of big data capability to digital transformation;Thirdly,this study explores the boundary role of the dynamic nature of China’s relationship culture and technological environment.The results of this study have opened the "black box" of big data capabilities driving enterprises’ digital transformation process,which has certain theoretical and practical significance for developing the driving theory of big data capabilities and helping enterprises realize digital transformation in the local context of China.
