Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has shown a trend of leapforward growth,but at the same time,it is also faced with problems such as unreasonable industrial structure and inefficient allocation of industrial factors.It is urgent to find a new breakthrough to stimulate economic momentum,promote industrial restructuring and upgrading,and achieve high-quality economic development.As a new economic form,digital economy has played an important role in promoting industry development,business model innovation,flow of factors of production,etc.At the same time,it has brought unlimited opportunities to the economic development of our country.Therefore,this paper brings digital economy and industrial structure adjustment into the same analysis frame,so as to explore the adjustment direction of Chinese industrial structure under the background of digital economy development,not only can we deeply understand the source of industrial structure upgrading,Moreover,it is of great significance to promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy to transform China’s economic development mode and achieve high-quality economic development in the new era.First of all,on the basis of combing and using for reference existing relevant literature,this paper discusses the direct effect of the digital economy on the industrial structural adjustment of our country.Secondly,comprehensive using the existing literature,this article from the digital economy environment using the entropy method,digital innovation ready and digital technology application and economic impact four dimensions to measure the figures at the provincial level economic development level in our country,and based on the theory of creek industrial structure quantitative index value of China’s industry structure and industry employment structure index.Finally,through the comprehensive evaluation of digital economy and industrial structure index,the author reveals the characteristics of trend change,spatial distribution and mutual relation of the two.Based on this,this paper uses provincial panel data from2012 to 2019 to explore the linear characteristics of digital economy and industrial structural adjustment through two-way fixed effects model.Then,the threshold effect model and spatial Dubin model are constructed,and the evolution characteristics and dynamic mechanism of industrial restructuring are empirically identified and the corresponding policy is discussed under the condition of considering the nonlinear structural effect and spatial spillover effect of digital economy.The empirical results show that the development of digital economy has a significant impact on the adjustment of industrial structure,which shows that the improvement of the level of digital economy will accelerate the rapid increase of the output value of the tertiary industry(relative to the secondary industry),and the employment number of the secondary industry(relative to the tertiary industry)will increase faster.This influence also has obvious threshold effect,which shows obvious nonlinear relationship before and after threshold critical value.From the whole sample,whether the industrial structure rationalization index or human capital level is used as the threshold variable,the impact of digital economy on the internal industrial structure adjustment has obvious nonlinear relationship.Specifically,with the increase of the threshold variable index,the promotion effect of the development level of digital economy on the industrial value structure is strengthened,that is,the growth rate of output value of the tertiary industry(relative to the secondary industry)is faster.The measurement results of the threshold model of digital economy and industrial employment structure show that there is a significant inverted "U"-shaped relationship between them when the industrial structure is rationalized as the threshold variable,which is presented as a "U"-shaped relationship under the human capital level.In terms of the development level of digital economy,the relationship between digital economy and industrial value structure is similar to the empirical results of the total sample under different development levels of digital economy,but the impact on industrial employment structure is not the same.Further from the space perspective,digital economy has positive spillover effects of space structure of industrial value,and for industrial employment structure is characterized by negative spatial spillover effect,this means that the development of the digital economy can not only affect the local industry internal structure adjustment,also will be affected by the influence of the neighbouring region level,visible digital economy has already become the important impetus of economic development in China.Research conclusion of this paper helps to identify the digital direction of economic development under the background of the adjustment of the industrial structure in China,relevant policies for the government to take maximum utility of the digital economy to promote the evolution of industrial structure to high-grade trends in our country,at the same time for "steady growth,structural adjustment" under the background of industrial policy to realize high quality and economic development has the vital significance.
