International engineering consulting and international engineering contracting are complementary to each other and both play an important role in the international engineering market.China has certain advantages in the field of international engineering contracting,but in the international engineering consulting industry,China is not strong enough and still faces many challenges to stand out.Therefore,it is especially important to clarify the status of China’s international engineering consulting industry in international competition,analyze the gap between China and developed countries,sort out the problems existing in the development of China’s international engineering consulting industry,and then provide corresponding suggestions to improve the competitiveness of China’s international engineering consulting industry.This article adopts the method of comparative analysis and a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to make a comprehensive analysis of the development status of China’s international engineering consulting industry and the basis for the formation of international competitiveness.The article firstly compares the theories of international competitiveness,the construction of index system and the research results on the international competitiveness of China’s international engineering consulting industry,and then makes an in-depth analysis of the problems and challenges faced by China’s international engineering consulting industry on the basis of objective comparison of the international engineering consulting industry of China,EU,US and Canada(national groups).Focusing on Porter’s diamond model,the article compares the international engineering consulting industry of China,EU,US and Canada in six aspects: factors of production,potential demand,related and supporting industries,enterprise development and competition,government and opportunities.This thesis takes the international competitiveness level of international engineering consulting industry as the primary indicator,factors of production,potential demand,related and supporting industries,enterprise organization and competition as the secondary indicators,and calculates the weights of 12 tertiary indicators by entropy value method,and analyzes the reasons limiting the development of China’s international engineering consulting industry.It is found that China’s international engineering consulting industry has certain advantages in terms of the number of FIDIC Engineering Project Award and 225 enterprises on the list,but at the same time,there are problems such as shortage of professional and technical personnel,small scale of enterprises and low marketization.Therefore,this thesis proposes countermeasures on how to improve the international competitiveness of China’s international engineering consulting industry from the national level and enterprise level,that is,the state should focus on cultivating professional and technical personnel,helping enterprises in financing and guiding the industry to develop corresponding systems in line with international standards,etc.Meanwhile,enterprises need to exert their subjective initiative,actively participate in transnational mergers and acquisitions,investment and financing activities,explore At the same time,enterprises need to take the initiative,actively participate in cross-border mergers and acquisitions,investment and financing activities,explore technological innovation,and actively promote talent training,so as to enhance their international competitiveness. |
