| With the worsening of the aging crisis,China’s urban and rural residents’ pension problems have become increasingly concerning;how to appropriately deal with urban and rural residents’ pension problems is critical to social peace and the country’s healthy growth.The fundamental old-age insurance scheme,which includes both urban and rural populations,is crucial in dealing with China’s aging crisis and guaranteeing social stability.Using P County in Guizhou Province as the research object,this paper examines the implementation of the basic endowment insurance system for urban and rural residents in P County through a literature review,questionnaire survey,and field interview,and comprehensively expounds on the system’s current development status in P County.There are numerous major challenges,which are restricted by economic growth and ideological understanding,such as low knowledge of self-insurance payment,widespread choice of the lowest level of payment,sluggish diversification of funding sources,inadequate scientific administration,and low public confidence.This article focuses on the actual experience of three counties and offers optimization ideas after an in-depth study of the reasons based on the research findings.The government of P county,according to this paper,should be more diligent in carrying out its duties,increase public awareness,increase financial subsidies,strengthen supervision and management,and most importantly,stimulate economic development by developing industry,improving the county’s economic level,and increasing residents’ income.Only by coordinating all elements of development can the basic endowment insurance system for urban and rural inhabitants in P County and regions comparable to P County go forward in a positive manner and offer security for the elderly’s lives. |
