| The Sino US trade war,the COVID-19 and other shocks have brought challenges to China’s stable economic and social development,As an important attribute of the economic system to cope with external disturbance and impact, maintain stability and sustainable development, economic resilience has been widely concerned.Because of its multiple connotations,urban-rural integration development provides new ideas for improving economic resilience. At present,urban-rural integration development is accelerating. It is important to study the current situation of urban-rural integration development and how urban-rural integration development can improve economic resilience. As the forefront of China’s reform and opening up,the Yangtze River Delta region is active in development, high in openness, and strong in innovation. The level of urban-rural integration is also at the leading level in the country,At the same time,it is also facing great risks and challenges.Promoting the better integrated development of urban and rural in the Yangtze River Delta is particularly necessary to stimulate the vitality of urban and rural development and promote the improvement of regional economic resilience.Based on the data of 27 cities in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta from2005 to 2019,this paper explores the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of their urban-rural integration development level and the impact of urban-rural integration development on economic resilience. The results show that:(1)On the whole, the urban-rural integration development in the Yangtze River Delta is characterized by "continuous improvement of the level, strong cities and weak cities".There are great differences in the growth rate of urban-rural integration development level among cities, which is generally characterized by "high urban-rural integration development level, low growth rate".There are great differences in the contribution of each criterion level to the integrated development of urban and rural areas, which is basically manifested as the integration of residents’ lives > the integration of Public Services > the integration of infrastructure > the integration of element > the integration of industries.(2)During the study period, the spatial pattern of urban-rural integration development level has evolved from "Shanghai is the highest,Southern Jiangsu and Northern Zhejiang are higher,Northern Jiangsu, southern Zhejiang and eastern Anhui are lower,Western Anhui and Northern Anhui are the lowest" to "Shanghai,Hangzhou and Suzhou are the highest,Jiangsu,Zhejiang and central Anhui are higher,Southern Anhui and Northern Anhui are lower".The spatial distribution changes are as follows: the lower-level,lowlevel and medium-level areas gradually decrease, and the spatial connectivity gradually weakens; The range of higher level areas gradually expanded, and the distribution changed from point to block;High level areas have changed from sporadic distribution to massive distribution.(3)The empirical results show that urban-rural integration development has a significant role in promoting economic resilience.Further, from the impact of element integration, industrial integration, infrastructure integration, public service integration and residents’ life integration on economic resilience, these five parts all have a role in promoting economic resilience.Based on the above analysis, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:First, promote the level of urban-rural industries integration, make up for the shortcomings of urban-rural integrated development;Second, all cities should accelerate the balanced development of urban-rural integration in all aspects;Third, strengthen the links and cooperation among cities in the Yangtze River Delta, promote the coordinated and mutually beneficial development of urban-rural integration among cities in the Yangtze River Delta, improve the overall level of urban-rural integration in the Yangtze River Delta, and promote the improvement of economic resilience. |
