Spatiotemporal Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of Urbanization In The Eastern Coastal Areas Since 200

Urbanization is the only way which must be passed to modernization,and it is an important way to expand domestic demand and promote high-quality development.The country’s "14th FiveYear Plan" also pointed out that the future should continue to improve the new urbanization strategy,improve the quality of urbanization development.With the development of urbanization,hundreds of millions of residents have moved from rural to urban areas,and the mode of production and living space in urban areas have undergone significant changes.The eastern coastal region is the core area of China’s economic development and one of the important axes of the macro layout of "two horizontal and three vertical" urbanization.From 2000 to 2020,the urbanization level in the eastern coastal region developed rapidly,with the urbanization level increasing by more than 20 percentage points,and urban economy played a dominant role in economic development.But at the same time,there are also some problems in the process of urbanization,such as the imbalance of regional urbanization level,the unreasonable size and structure of cities and towns,and the inability of migrant workers to enjoy equal public services.On the basis of summarizing relevant theories and researches,this thesis study the total amount,increment and relative difference of urbanization level and the population growth in the eastern coastal region from multiple scales,such as interregional,provincial,prefecture-level and above cities,districts and counties,and summarizes the relationship between population and land urbanization and the characteristics of the evolution of urban scale grade.Secondly,the regional difference and spatial pattern evolution of urbanization level in the eastern coastal region are studied by using the relevant measurement methods of geography.Stepwise regression analysis and grey correlation degree are used to discuss the influencing factors of spatial and temporal characteristics of urbanization level.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to improve the urbanization level in the eastern coastal areas.The main conclusions are as follows:In terms of population growth characteristics,the proportion of permanent residents in the eastern coastal region in the national permanent population is increasing.In the growing cities,the population growth of the "head city" accounts for a significant proportion of the total growth,while the continuous and staggered cities are the main forms of the shrinking cities.The phenomenon of population loss in counties is further aggravated,and the population gathering capacity in central urban areas is continuously enhanced.In terms of the changing characteristics of urbanization level,the urbanization level of cities and counties at prefecture-level and above in the eastern coastal region has been steadily rising.However,the growth rate of urbanization in the eastern coastal region has slowed down,lower than the national level,and the difference between the urbanization rate of the registered permanent population and that of the permanent population has not been effectively reduced.The development speed of land urbanization is obviously faster than that of population urbanization,and the spatial pattern gap between the two development hotspots is also large.The structure of urban land use is relatively stable,with industrial land and residential land as the dominant types.The hierarchical structure of city size changes obviously,the population is concentrated in big cities,the number of typeⅡsmall cities decreases significantly,and the primacy degree of provincial capital cities is low and the change range is small.From the difference and contribution of urbanization level,the difference of urbanization level between cities at prefecture-level and above and districts and counties in Shandong,Zhejiang and Guangdong gradually decreases,the difference within provinces is higher than the difference between provinces,and the convergence trend of central Shanghai and Jiangsu is more obvious.The contribution rate of the eastern coastal region to the improvement of the national urbanization level has decreased,and the contribution rate of the level is higher than that of the counties(cities),and the spatial pattern of urbanization is obviously different.From the perspective of spatial heterogeneity analysis and spatial pattern evolution,the positive spatial correlation of urbanization level between eastern coastal areas and Shandong,Zhejiang and Guangdong counties gradually increases,and "high-high" and "low-low" are the main spatial agglomeration patterns.Urban agglomeration is an important spatial carrier of high-level urbanization with prominent core-edge characteristics.The spatial pattern of urbanization level in the eastern coastal region is high in the east and low in the west,with a u-shaped distribution from north to south to inverted u-shaped distribution.From the analysis of influencing factors of urbanization,economic development and advanced industrial structure are important factors for the improvement of urbanization level in eastern coastal areas.The optimization of industrial structure steadily promotes urbanization development,and the service industry plays an increasingly significant role.Economic globalization has made a special contribution to the urbanization development in the east coast.The promotion effect of input intensity and connection level on urbanization development still exists.The enhancement of innovation capacity will become a new driving force for urbanization in the eastern coastal region.Follow the law of urbanization development,we should guide the orderly flow of population,and steadily improve the level of urbanization;Strengthen the development momentum of urbanization,accelerate the establishment of modern manufacturing system and the development of modern service industry,promote the construction of domestic and international double cycle pattern;We should attach equal importance to economic and social benefits and promote high-quality urbanization.We will improve the size and structure of cities and towns,and promote diversified,open,efficient and high-quality urbanization.We should carry out the concept of ecological civilization and shaping the ecological space with beautiful mountains and clear waters.
