New-type of urbanization is a "people-oriented" urbanization,an urbanization that emphasizes the comprehensive improvement of people’s quality of life,and an urbanization that pays attention to the coordinated development of cities and rural areas,population and space,and resources and environment.New-type urbanization plays a key role in stimulating consumption demand,promoting investment growth,and promoting economic serviceization.In addition to this,in overcoming the problem of urban-rural dual structure and promoting regional economic transformation and industrial upgrading,new urbanization is playing a powerful role.During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period,new-type urbanization strategy will become a major task for economic and social development.In recent years,with the rise and widespread use of Internet information technology,e-commerce has flourished.In 2020,the online retail sales of physical goods in my country will reach 9.76 trillion yuan,accounting for nearly a quarter of the total retail sales of consumer goods.E-commerce plays an increasingly important role in the national economy and social informatization,and its role in stimulating consumption,promoting employment,and safeguarding people’s livelihood has become increasingly prominent.As a new form of service industry in China,e-commerce not only accelerate the boom of China’s Internet economy,but also provide new impetus for the development of new-type urbanization.Can the development of e-commerce promote new-type urbanization,and what is its mechanism? How big is the impact? How to better play the role of e-commerce in the process of new-type urbanization? The answers to these series of questions are of great significance for ensuring the healthy and stable development of e-commerce and further promoting the new-type urbanization strategy.This paper firstly summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign ecommerce,new-type urbanization and the relationship between them.And based on the theory of dual structure,aggregation-diffusion,and unbalanced growth,it systematically analyzes the mechanism of the impact of e-commerce development on new-type urbanization.Secondly,taking 30 provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions in my country from 2013 to 2019(except Tibet,Hong Kong,Macau,and Taiwan)as the research objects,by constructing a new-type urbanization evaluation index system,combined with the entropy value method to measure the new-type urbanization level of each region value,and analyze its spatiotemporal evolution characteristics;Thirdly,a two-way fixed-effect model is constructed,and empirical research is carried out around the whole sample and sub-sample,and the differences in the impact of e-commerce development on new-type urbanization in different regions are analyzed.Finally,according to the research content and conclusions of the full text,it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the development of e-commerce to promote new-type urbanization.The main conclusions of the paper include:(1)The impact of e-commerce development on new-type urbanization is mainly manifested in the following ways:affecting population urbanization by driving employment and promoting nonagricultural population transfer;by stimulating consumer demand,providing industrial support,and optimizing the impact of industrial structure The development of economic urbanization;promoting the development of social urbanization by improving infrastructure construction and improving the quality of life;the development of ecommerce can play a role in the rational use of resources and the transformation of production methods,thereby promoting the construction of ecological urbanization;in terms of market interaction Coordinate urban and rural development in terms of industrial coordination,factor flow,and narrowing the gap between urban and rural development.(2)The level of new-type urbanization has been steadily improved,with obvious differences among provinces.In 2013,the comprehensive evaluation value of new-type urbanization was 24.095,and by 2019,the evaluation value of new-type urbanization increased to 36.492,with an average annual growth rate of 8.58%.In 2013,the level of new-type urbanization in most provinces and cities in my country was at a low level.By 2019,the level of new-type urbanization in my country has generally increased.The level of new-type urbanization in all provinces and cities is at a low level or above,an overall increase compared to 2013 a level.In 2019,the high,high and medium areas of new-type urbanization are mainly distributed in the eastern region,and most of the central and western regions are still developing slowly and are at a low level.The level of new-type urbanization shows a trend of “high in the east and low in the west”.(3)The development of e-commerce plays a significant role in promoting newtype urbanization,and there are differences between regions.There is a positive correlation between the development of e-commerce and new-type urbanization,and the development of e-commerce can be used as a driving force to promote the process of new-type urbanization.From a regional perspective,the e-commerce development in the western region possess a very obvious positive effect on the new-type urbanization.From one point of view,due to the relatively backward urbanization construction in the western region,its development space is larger,and the development of e-commerce has a stronger driving effect on new-type urbanization,and its role is more obvious.From another point of view,on account of the poor industrial conditions in western China,the development of e-commerce is limited.However,its progress is bound to remove barriers and promote the growth of relevant industries,thus producing strong social and economic effects and promoting the process of new-type urbanization.According to the research content and conclusions of this paper,four suggestions and measures are put forward for e-commerce to promote new-type urbanization: firstly,strengthening the cultivation of the e-commerce market to add momentum to the newtype urbanization;secondly,promoting integrated development of industries and incent the patterns for e-business innovation;thirdly,improving infrastructure construction and unblock e-commerce development channels;fourthly,strengthening e-commerce talent training and gather endogenous growth momentum. |
