Research On Evaluation Of High-Quality Economic Development In Provinces Along The Belt And Road

Now China’s economy has entered the stage of pursuing high-quality development,and“the Belt and Road” is an important development area in China.It is of great practical significance to study the development level of its high quality economy and to explore the promotion of the high quality development in provinces along the Belt and Road and the whole country.On the basis of literature review,this paper further deepens the understanding of the connotation of high-quality economic development.According to the principles of index system construction,from the three dimensions of sustainability,competitiveness and openness,and this paper constructs the index system,including 11 secondary indicators,such as the quality of economic development,the level of economic structure,the efficiency of economic operation,natural resources and environmental governance,the level of labor force,the level of capital competitiveness,the level of science and technology investment,the level of labor force,the level of capital competitiveness,the scientific and technological output,economic openness,coordination of economic development and sharing of economic development.At the same time,this paper selects 32 indicators to construct a comprehensive evaluation system for the highquality economic development of provinces along the Belt and Road in China,and uses the improved entropy method and TOPSIS model to comprehensively evaluate the overall economic development quality and efficiency.Based on the evaluation results,the high-quality economic development of the provinces along the Belt and Road is evaluated and classified by different dimensions,and the data results at the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period and the“Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” recent data results are compared.Then,on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the quality of the economic development of the provinces along the route,policy recommendations to promote the improvement of the quality of the economic development of the provinces along the route are put forward.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,the high-quality economic development of the southeast coastal areas has shown a relatively high level,Hainan is in a relatively backward position,while Liaoning Province in the northeast,Chongqing in the southwest region,and Shaanxi Province in the northwest region are all in a relatively advantageous position;Second,if the provinces and regions along the Belt and Road are overly pursuing economic growth,it will inevitably bring about a series of problems such as social instability,harsh environment,lack of regional coordination,and insufficient openness.Therefore,we must pay attention to high-quality economic development.Third,after the implementation of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”,compared with the classification results at the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”,there are still large regional differences in the efficiency of high-quality economic development.And compared with the data at the end of the“Twelfth Five-Year Plan”,the overall economic quality development level has dropped slightly.
