China attaches great importance to foreign communication,and the overseas communication of Chinese stories is an important issue for the country.General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the need to tell China’s stories well and show a comprehensive,multidimensional,and real China.The academic community attaches great importance to the issue of "telling China’s stories well".Under the multi-subject external propaganda pattern,Chinese internet celebrities are generally recognized for telling Chinese stories well overseas,and Li Ziqi is a typical representative.Since 2020,Li Ziqi has long been ranked the top of the You Tube Chinese channel subscription list.Many scholars have discussed Li Ziqi’s successful experience from various perspectives,but few studies have started from the perspective of emotional mobilization.Emotional mobilization is the use of emotional strategies to arouse,stimulate or change overseas audiences’ perceptions of Chinese stories and stories in emotional interactions.Attitude and evaluation process.Taking "emotional mobilization" as the theoretical framework,this paper conducts empirical research and analysis on the popular videos released by Li Ziqi on the You Tube platform and 364,338 comments under the videos.To broaden the theories and research methods of the research topic of overseas dissemination of China’s stories,this paper adopts the technical path of combining intelligent semantic analysis method and symbolic narrative analysis method to conduct research on Li Ziqi’s video "emotional mobilization".This paper firstly conducts an empirical study on the comments of netizens on the videos released by the "Li Ziqi" account on the You Tube platform.Different from previous studies that speculate on the textual content of stories,this paper focuses on the text,time and interactive information of data samples,and combines sentiment analysis and semantic network analysis to characterize the sentiment of comments.Secondly,this paper conducts a symbolic narrative analysis of the video content,in order to deeply explore the emotional mobilization factors of the video and the strategies for inducing emotional mobilization.Finally,in order to measure the effect of "emotional mobilization",this paper innovatively adopts a multi-dimensional emotional representation model,which is different from the single-dimensional and only suitable for short-term analysis methods in previous studies.Analysis to measure the emotional efficacy under long-term mobilization has certain theoretical and practical value.Based on the above research methods,this paper finds that Li Ziqi’s videos use emotional mobilization strategies that construct everyday situations,identities,and positive labels.With the use of emotional mobilization strategies,overseas audiences’ awareness,satisfaction and evaluation of Chinese culture have been significantly improved.Finally,this paper gives relevant suggestions for overseas dissemination of Chinese stories based on specific cases.Firstly,create an image of affinity and tell stories in a way of emotional expression from the perspective of civilians.Secondly,maintain an emotional community,arouse common memories and resonate with the audience.Thirdly,grasp the core of cultural emotions and pay attention to the publicity and sense of responsibility of Chinese cultural communication.
