Initiated in 1964 and directed by the Party and central leaders,the Third-line construction marked the first significant strategic adjustment in the history of New China,driven by the severe international situation,shifting domestic productivity layout from east to west.With the guiding principle of "Prepare for war,prepare for famine" and the protection of national and people’s property security as its core,this significant military activity greatly promoted the development of basic infrastructure construction in industry and transportation in the central and western regions of China.It further improved the heavy industry system in these regions,providing a solid foundation for the leap in China’s Comprehensive National Power and modern defense technology.As the international situation improved and national policy guidelines were updated,the Third-line Construction gradually faded from the historical stage,with its industrial heritage turning into brownfields.Currently,China’s development and utilization of the Third-line construction of industrial heritage mainly focuses on on-site reconstruction,cultural and creative parks,and themed museums,neglecting the research on the "technology track" of the industrial heritage in the increasingly robust and improved Web3.0 era — the self-media practice of the Third-line construction of industrial heritage.Therefore,this paper is divided into the following sections based on this direction.First,a profound analysis of the content and data of works and creators related to the Third-line construction of industrial heritage on major domestic platforms like Tik Tok,Toutiao,and Watermelon video is conducted.Secondly,combining Marxist view of practice and "alienation" theory,this paper delves into the problems and root causes in the current self-media practice process.Lastly,based on the previous discussions,optimization paths for the perfect combination of self-media practice and the Third-line construction of industrial heritage are proposed from the perspectives of practice subjects,objects,and intermediaries.Meanwhile,by leveraging the visual means of self-media users,the "lost" emotions of China’s Third-line construction of industrial heritage are highlighted,further demonstrating the urgency and importance of its protection,development,and reuse in related work.
