Study On The Evolutionary Path Of Library Thought In China And Abroad

Advanced digital technology has imperceptibly changed the mode of social production and broadened the channels for people to obtain information.The status of library as the social and cultural center has been challenged,and libraries are in urgent need of transformation and development in the era of big data.Under the influence of digital technology,the library field focuses on the research of technology application and lacks the research of library thought,but the thought guides social practice and the development of library needs the guidance of library thought.At present,there are very few discussions on library thought,library spirit and core value.Although some scholars call for the era of big data,The transformation and development of library enterprise need to clarify the connotation of library thought and develop the library thought in the new era.However,compared with the research on technology,the research on library thought is still very scarce.Library has experienced thousands of years of development from ancient to present,in the middle of carrying out a variety of library activities,and thus produced a variety of library thoughts,these thoughts have obvious characteristics,is an important ideological achievement in the development of library cause,worthy of careful study and research of later generations.Although today’s library is dominated by the public library,the public library does not appear out of thin air.It is built on the form of the ancient library.Many ancient library work theories are still applicable in the public library,so the library thought is a process of continuous development.This paper,by studying the development of the library cause at home and abroad,summarizes the library thought in different periods,understands the evolution of the library thought,and provides ideas for the development,transformation and service innovation of the library cause in the new era.By using literature analysis method and historical analysis method,this paper summarizes the development history of library enterprise,divides library thought into three parts: humanistic thought,management thought and rule of law thought.According to the dimension of the initiation period of thought and combined with the background of The Times,this paper summarizes the library humanistic thought from the initial preservation of human cultural heritage.To promote the development of democracy and peace in modern times,to contemporary digital humanistic thought;The thought of library management develops from the thought of collection management,to the thought of pragmatism,then to the thought of knowledge management,and finally to the thought of contemporary data management.The thought of the rule of law in library has changed from safeguarding the power of rulers to safeguarding the equal rights of citizens and then to protecting the privacy rights of readers.
