A Research On Library Organic Theory

Library organic theory in library science theory is an important theoretical issue and lack of systematic research. Exploration of library theoretical issues to enhance human understanding which is on the basis of practical experience, is consistent with the logical category of objective reality, plays role of orientation, will further promote development of library and librarianship. Research of organic theory in library will make people understand the development of library from a new perspective.Ranganathan's fifth law of library science"Library is a growing organism"created precedent for organism thought of library. Making library as a growing organism can be said that a leap in the history of ideas library, which contains the wisdom of philosophy. Library is not only an objective reality, but also a social objective reality, society is the emergence and existence of the soil. As a social organism, research of organic theory in library can not be separated the reference of social organism theory and philosophical analysis.This paper adopts the method of induction and analysis to summarize the status of organism thought in library, on the basis of which analyze achievements and limitations of his thought. Analyzing and referencing thoughts on biological organism, Margery science, particularly the social organism theory to rich in library organic theory, discuss library why is a growing organism and why can as a growing organism, reveal the significance of organism theory in library science about science, philosophy, epistemology and methodology to build theoretical framework of library organic theory. In the theoretical analysis, using process approach to explore the changes of elements and structure, the development power, the development process, and running of library organism, will obtain library organic theory is a dynamic organism theory which reproduces the generation and development of relationships, library organism theory itself is a kind of methodology, analyzing its guidance for study of library organic theory.
