A Study On Narrative Strategies Of The Winning Works Of The Inner Mongolia News Prize

As the practice of convergence in the news industry continues to develop,convergent news is gradually entering the selection of various news awards.The Inner Mongolia News Award is the highest award for excellent journalism in the region approved by the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the autonomous region,and has been selected for a total of 30 sessions of excellent journalism so far.2019 Inner Mongolia News Award added the "Media Fusion Category" award,and so far,there have been four consecutive "Media Fusion Category " The award-winning works are born.The award-winning works in the media integration category of the Inner Mongolia News Award reflect to a certain extent the current development of media integration in Inner Mongolia’s news industry,and also point out the direction for the future practice of integrated media journalism in the region.This study starts from 137 award-winning works of the Inner Mongolia Journalism Awards 2019-2022 in the category of "media convergence",combines the knowledge of journalism and communication,and quantifies the direction of the four award-winning works,the nature of the media,and the form of presentation through the methods of content analysis,case study,and in-depth interview,etc.We also analyzed the narrative perspective,narrative language and narrative logic of the award-winning works from the perspective of narratology,and conducted in-depth interviews with the judges of Inner Mongolia Journalism Awards.The study also analyzed the characteristics,strengths and weaknesses of the award-winning works in the category of media convergence,and provided a glimpse of the current situation of media convergence in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,so as to provide some suggestions for the future transformation of mainstream media convergence in the Autonomous Region.The study found that the major themes of the award-winning works of Inner Mongolia News Award were obvious,the mainstream media at the provincial level were the majority of the award-winning media,short video was the main presentation method,and new technologies such as VR,mobile live streaming and H5 began to be applied,the integrated media works were more flexible in the use of narrative perspective,the application of narrative language could be close to people’s lives,and the narrative logic was mainly non-linear logic.In general,it seems that the award-winning works have shortcomings in terms of the breadth of content exploration,the degree of technology application and the novelty of creativity.Through interviews with some experts,judges,senior people in the industry and winners of related awards,the author makes the following suggestions: improve the evaluation mechanism of communication effects,strengthen the publicity of the selection rules,set up a special organization for the selection of integrated media works,highlight more the role of single award,and further promote the practice of media integration in Inner Mongolia through the selection of integrated awards of Inner Mongolia Journalism Awards.Mainstream media integration media center should clarify the integration development positioning,aim at new technology focus layout,explore new business management model,promote media integration further to fine to deep to good development.
