With the popularization and development of the Internet,participatory mechanisms are invisibly influencing the construction of the whole society,and in this context,Internet buzzwords also present distinctive participatory features.Language is not only a tool for communication,but also a carrier of human activities.To a certain extent,it reflects the mirror image of society,reflects social mentality,and also influences social and cultural life,which in turn affects the development of society.Internet buzzwords are the most vivid and vital part of the online language,and they are the most popular and widely spread language in the cyberspace.Nowadays,the integration between the Internet and reality is deepening,and Internet buzzwords have widely penetrated into the real space.Internet users express themselves in the participatory communication of Internet buzzwords and realize their own discourse empowerment through Internet buzzwords,and more and more Internet users participate in the communication of Internet buzzwords.In this paper,we examine the participatory communication of Internet buzzwords,explore their communication mechanism,and put forward rationalization suggestions for the problems that exist in the process,in order to promote the benign development of the participatory practice of Internet buzzwords.The popularity of Internet technology,the need for people’s right to express themselves in the new era and the coexistence of multiple cultures have enabled the development and expansion of participatory communication practices of Internet buzzwords.Internet users are the main participants of online buzzwords,and the overall trend of participatory communication of online buzzwords is universal,among which young people,especially students,and heavy Internet users are the main active participants;students and office workers are the main deep participants.They participate in the participatory communication of Internet buzzwords either for entertainment,emotional venting,social needs,or resistance.The participatory spread of Internet buzzwords mainly consists of three stages: the origin stage in which individuals express themselves and emphasize subject participation;the proliferation stage in which groups imitate and spread,and the socialization stage in which media organizations,markets and state governments participate.While the participatory spread of Internet buzzwords is expanding,it also gives rise to problems such as language poverty,communication anxiety,cyber violence and discourse hegemony,and the dismantling of mainstream ideology.In response to these problems,the author accordingly proposes that the mainstream media should actively participate in the participatory communication of Internet buzzwords,from the production of the corpus of Internet buzzwords to the interactive communication process and the construction of meaning,and the penetration of the three communication links;Internet users,as the subjects of the participatory communication of Internet buzzwords,need to improve their media literacy,strengthen their information acquisition and analysis processing ability,information judgment ability and The national government should moderately supervise the production of new Internet buzzwords and replace the blockage with regulation,so as to promote the interaction between the public and the government and promote the benign development of the participatory communication practice of Internet buzzwords through the mainstream media.
