Research On The Development Strategy Of "City’s Study" From The Perspective Of "Third Space"

As an innovative attempt in the public cultural space,“city’s study” has achieved initial results in the cooperative construction between the government and social forces.It contains the vision of read sharing,equal tolerance,social education,etc.,and has become a cultural undertaking strongly supported by China.It is also a practical approach and a new front for reading promotion for the whole people.The past two years have witnessed the rapid development of the “city’s study”,which provides the traditional reading functions of “book collection” and “borrowing” on the basis of public welfare,and gradually turns to multiple quality services with “social”,“life” and“wisdom”.The “city’s study” has activated the communication between readers and books,strengthened the maintenance of readers and space,and realized the superposition of space and space.This new production relationship also reshapes the ecosystem of public cultural space.Shenyang’s “city’s study”,located in the northeast region,is not obvious in the outstanding cases emerging from all over the country,but its rich historical background and diverse cultural and tourism resources have laid the foundation for its unique style.Sorting out the construction status of Shenyang’s “city’s study”,discovering problems and putting forward strategic suggestions,can improve operational services,benefit the public,contribute to the scholarly society,optimize cultural space,and provide a certain reference for the transformation and upgrading of“city’s study”.Based on Ray Odenberg’s “third space” theory,drawing on Edward Sawyer’s view of space and Habermas’ s “public sphere” theory and other supplementary thinking,this paper takes “city’s study” as the research object,and adopts the field survey method,case study method,interview method and questionnaire method.First of all,it defines and elaborates the relevant concepts of “city’s study”,reading for the whole people,reading promotion,and so on.It carries out theoretical analysis of “the third space”,pays attention to contemporary development,and summarizes the research status and excellent practices at home and abroad;Secondly,in order to understand the overall situation,twenty-three study rooms in Shenyang were investigated on the spot and online.In order to understand the specific situation,four representative study rooms were selected for case analysis,in-depth interviews were conducted with six operators to summarize the list of operating mechanisms and reading services,and a questionnaire survey was conducted among readers in the study community to analysis their service quality;Finally,sorted out the two major aspects of the cooperation between the government and society needs to be strengthened and the operation effect of the cultural space is not good enough.Put forward three strategic suggestions to optimize the cooperation model between the government and society(strengthen the main force of the community,increase regional mutual assistance,and make good use of the feedback and supervision mechanism),and five strategic suggestions for building a new public cultural space(new spaces for reading precision,new spaces for landscape upgrades,new spaces for business and travel integration,and new spaces for cultural production).With a view to promoting “city’s study” to keep close to the “third space”,it is a public cultural space to achieve the upgrading of reading,and a good place to learn knowledge and culture,enrich their spiritual life for the public.
