The Analysis Of The Reports On Public Sacred Space In Wuhan City Newspapers

Public sacred space namely the public areas of sacred space. The public space isrelative to the private space, sacred space is relative to the secular space. Considering thereality, public sacred space mainly includes religious places and the palces of publicsacrifice.Religious places include taoist temple, buddhist temple, church, mosque. Thepalces of public sacrifice include ancestor temple, cemetery of revolutionary matyrs.Thereports about public sacred space can purify the spirit and faith of the public, they can alsomaintain people s common spiritual home.This article selects Wuhan four city newspaper s reports about public sacred spacewhich from April1,2010to April31,2011,though analysing, we can make clear thesacred space s structure that these newspapers construct, and discuss the role that themedia act in the public sacred space, the frames of the reports and how they construct thereports frame.At the same time, based on these anlysis, we can point out the achievementsand the problems of the reports,and we can also offer our modified measures.From the overall, we can see that four city newspaper s report themes are veryextensive, for the description of the ceremony is in place, and journalists are good at usingpictures to show the public sacred space. But the reports also have some problems, such asthese reports are reported in a single mode,the phenomenon of homogeneity is serious,andthe reports s perspective is limited.At the same time,the reports also have not enoughvarious genre. Therefore, this paper suggests that the journalists should break the customs,and stand out the major events which happen in the public sacred space. Selecting properperspective and extruding public sacred space "sacredness" are very important. At thesame time, the reporters should understand public sacred space activities, and rich reportsgenre.
