In recent years,the development of social media and the demand for accompanying learning have fueled the explosion of "cloud self-study" on various platforms across the Internet,and "cloud self-study" platforms have begun to flourish.Various platforms such as Tomato todo,CoStudy,Constant Study Room,QQ Study Room,Forest,etc.have emerged,offering people who need to study,communicate about their studies,pursue self-discipline,and desire companionship the possibility of studying in the cloud.Individuals enter virtual self-study rooms through Internet platforms,and in the process of learning in the cloud,cloud behavior and real behavior possess a co-occurrence relationship,and the power discourse completes the surveillance and transformation of individuals through the design,construction and production of virtual spaces.Through the qualitative analysis of CoStudy "cloud self-study",this study takes spatial regulation as the theoretical core and explores the new regulation mechanism in the space of "cloud self-study",the premise of regulation,the new characteristics of spatial regulation and the contradictory results produced,trying to explain the logic behind the new type of spatial discipline.The study finds that the means and mechanisms of regulation of individuals in the "cloud self-study" space have changed significantly,and the power operation mechanism exerts power on the cloud self-students through imaginary surveillance,discourse in space,scene construction and demonstration by others,and then completes the spatial regulation of individuals.The three logical explanations of technology empowerment,environment pushing and subject demand are the prerequisites for the realization of spatial regulation.At the same time,the regulation space presents new characteristics of publicness and mobility,and the regulation power and the regulation subject present a new turn of spatialization of capital power and autonomy of the subject to receive regulation.Finally,the "cloud self-study" also brews the contradictory results of spatial regulation,producing the paradox of the subject.This paradox is reflected in the fact that the subject actively seeks for power regulation and consciously resists the constraints of power;it strengthens the subject’s management and control of learning time,but while relying on the tools of the platform to restrain concentration,it generates a new round of attention wandering;the individual transforms learning behavior,corrects learning attitude and quantifies learning content on the "cloud self-study" platform,and at the same time becomes dependent on the platform.Individuals change their learning behavior,correct their learning attitude,and quantify their learning content on the "cloud self-study" platform,but at the same time they become dependent on the platform and lose their self-control to a certain extent;they create conditions for interpersonal interaction,which makes them feel safe and brings them a new round of anxiety at the same time;they create an immersive experience that tends to erase the original purpose of self-study,putting the entertainment attribute above the learning tool attribute and causing users to become addicted to entertainment or blindly follow the crowd.
