Research On Fan Community Management From The Perspective Of Disciplinary Powe

With the development of information communication technology,stars and idols emerge in an endless stream,and the fan base keeps growing.Star-chasing activities are expanding from offline to online.In order to help the cause of idols,the support activities organized by fans tend to be large-scale and organized,and the group shows a high degree of cohesion and action power.Therefore,it is of great significance to understand the mobilization means and internal management mechanism of fan community to guide fans’ behavior well.It also demonstrates the practical value of Foucault’s disciplining power concept in modern society.This research is mainly based on the micro-blog platform.The author joined different types of fan communities of star Yi Yangqianxi,personally participated in online support activities,and interviewed fans at different levels in the community.The research is roughly carried out from three aspects.First of all,the different types of fan communities are introduced,including three types: the support group which mainly supports the cause of idols,the self-growth group which takes idols as examples,and the chat group which mainly entertains.Secondly,from the perspective of space and time,the research methods of participatory observation and interview are used to explore the internal personnel structure and management means of aid groups with relatively tight organizational structure,and analyze the various power subjects in the community.Community managers exercise disciplinary power through hierarchical supervision,unified discipline standards and regular inspections to achieve control over community members.This dominant relationship also contains members’ resistance and defection.Thus,it can be seen that in the emotion-driven fan community,there is still discipline power,which proves Foucault’s view that micro power is everywhere in modern society.Finally,the paper summarizes the feasible methods to make the fan organization have a high degree of cohesion and action: first,develop a strict supervision mechanism;Second,improve the transparency of management measures;Third:Cultivate the user’s self-management consciousness.It provides inspiration for the rectification of fan-circle culture and the guidance of public opinion.
