A Comparative Study On The Development Trend Of Sino - American Information Science

Information science, as a full of vigor and vitality, has received more and more attention because of its specific social attributes. In twenty-first Century, the characteristics of the times to the information science research has brought new content and tools, which will become a new source of power in the development of information science. Informatics research remains to be further breakthroughs, can make a difference in the 21 st century this new platform, information science development trends and how to meet people on the needs and expectations of information science, will determine the intelligence’s future. This paper selects CSSCI continuous included 10 years of 9 kinds of domestic intelligence science core journals and web of Sciences included in reports or JCR impact factor among the top nine U.S. intelligence science journals 2000-2014 in published literature as the research object, From four aspects of research strength, research focus, research topic, research paradigm, the development trend of information science research in China and the United States is explored. The main research forces are analyzed from two aspects, such as high yield authors, high yield research institute. The frequency change rate Z value of high- frequency words are classified and summarized analysis, reveals the present research hotspots and trends of information science research in China and the United States. On this basis, using co-occurrence network analysis method and multidimensional scaling analysis of the intrinsic link between the method of various types of high-frequency keywords, to clarify the key research topics and the evolution trend of information science research in China and the United States, judge the development trend of interdisciplinary research paradigm of information science research in China and the United States and make corresponding comparative analysis of it.
