A Study On The Evolution Of Gender Concept In "WangYiShuDu" Data Journalism (2015-2021)

China,as a country with a socialist system,regards gender equality as one of its fundamental national policies,and women’s liberation is a long-respected civilized trend.With the legal protection and rapid development of social and economic factors,China’s women’s labor participation rate leads the world,women’s education level continues to rise,and their self-consciousness and liberation spirit are increasingly prevalent.The development of information technology and big data has given rise to data journalism,which presents abstract concepts in a visual and simple way,and has unique value in changing public perception."Wang Yi Shu Du," one of China’s earliest and most influential data journalism platforms,uses data to present the most objective and true news reports.Its coverage of "social gender" issues is of great research value.Combining data journalism and gender issues,it can present the real gender landscape through direct data,which helps break gender stereotypes and promote gender equality.Based on 151 of 775 articles published by "Wang Yi Shu Du" from 2015 to 2021 that are related to social gender,this study employed literature research and content analysis to discuss the changes in social gender status presented in domestic data journalism and its impact.Studies have shown that women’s autonomy in marriage and love is increasing,but their anxiety about marriage and love is also rising.Women have made some progress in education and labor participation,but they still face different degrees of gender discrimination.Women’s fertility and health issues have received increasing attention,but with marriage and economic pressures,their willingness to bear children has declined,and their health status is also worthy of attention.Attention to girls’ issues has also increased.During the COVID-19 pandemic,the expression of social gender concepts has tended to be more entertaining,and family emotions have also received new scrutiny.The development of social gender awareness is the result of various factors,and social concepts are constantly evolving.News media play a vital role in promoting the development of gender concepts in society.The effective use of news media platforms to promote gender concepts and carry forward the spirit of women’s liberation is of great significance and influence on the implementation of the basic national policy of equality between men and women.
