With the rapid development of globalization and the deep promotion of the economic construction reform,the culture of consumerism,which is highly proposed by Western capitalism countries,spreads swiftly in China.It posed an huge threat on the traditional conceptions and life styles,and gradually enters into various fields.The mass media,"state owned,company administrated",tends to be more consumerism obviously.On the one hand,all the media attach more importance on economic benefit,and it becomes their main concern whether affordable media products can be invented.On the other hand,those media products totally represent the concept of consumerization.Among those,television,invented in 1940s,on the one hand,in order to survive and develop,is on the way of the entertainment and secularization;On the other hand,because of its incomparable picture quality and sound advantages in promoting products and consumerism conception,it enjoys a widespread popularity among the sellers.TV drama is the commonest cultural mode among all the various TV program forms,as well as the dispensable part in our daily life.In these years,the popular Love and Marriage Dramas which is closely connected with reality contain the more obvious consumerism conception.Therefore,this thesis discuss the objective and importance of the tendency of consumerism in Love and Marriage Dramas in the introduction part.;Then,give an explaination of the concept of consumerism in Chapter One;Next,specific cases of consumerism tendency in Love and Marriage Dramas will be analyzed in Chapter Two;Chapter Three gives the reasons for the tendency of consumerism concept in Love and Marriage Drames.Lastly,Chapter Four discusses the positive and negative influences in Love and Marriage Dramas,and in the conclusion part,the future development of consumerism tendency in Love and Marriage Dramas will be discussed.
