Research On The Framework Of Pulitzer Prize For Editorial Writing In 2017-2021

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought different measures and cultural models of different countries to communicate and collide at the global communication level,and global cooperation has faced new challenges.With the improvement of comprehensive national strength,my country shoulders the role of a builder of world peace,a contributor to global development and a defender of the international order.Therefore,we must base ourselves on the present moment,take advantage of this major opportunity,improve our international discourse power,and effectively respond to various risks and challenges that may arise in the global news and public opinion field.The editorial,as a key project,is a powerful tool in external reporting and an important means to improve the right to speak.The reason why the Pulitzer Prize for journalism is chosen as a sample is because of the status of the Pulitzer Prize in the press.Help us understand the world’s thinking and develop ourselves through the Pulitzer Prize for journalism.Frame theory research,as an important research field of journalism and communication,is not only the interpretation of the meaning of the communication content,but also the verification of the intention of the communication subject,and the examination of the communication effect.The news comments in different countries carry different frames.Behind the framework are ideologies,cultural concepts and interest demands.Therefore,based on the framework theory of Tibetan national benevolence,this paper uses discourse analysis method and case analysis method according to the needs,selects the Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial works in the past five years as a sample,and analyzes the content of them,and then studies whether there are any existing editorial works in the editorial.General frameworks and how they are presented,and finally discuss why frameworks arise.From 2017 to 2021,there is a general framework for Pulitzer-winning editorials,which are presented as follows: Conflict frameworks account for the largest proportion.In construction,the theme of each year is a highly conflicting event,and highlights the differences and contradictions between characters The second is the human touch frame and the moral frame,both of which have equal proportions.In the construction,the human touch frame mainly highlights the people in the disadvantaged position,pays attention to the disadvantaged groups,pays attention to their personal life,and reflects the humanistic feelings.The moral frame is clearly reflected in the editorial.emotional attitudes of likes and dislikes;finally,the economic-consequence framework accounts for the smallest proportion,which is reflected through keywords and content that clearly reflects economic data.Behind the above framework is the American press’ s concepts of altruistic democracy,advocacy of individualism,and desire for social cohesion.These concepts are intertwined,hidden in the news,and profoundly affecting the audience.
