Optimization Analysis And Implementation Of Homology Software Change Management Process For A Company

For electronic equipment companies, the introduction speed of new products, directly determines the market competitiveness of enterprises. The way to coordinate the development of homologous products from same software platform is playing a vital role on improving the speed of products development.There are many changes occurring during the software development process in Company M. Once the change request are disordered proposed when parallel developing homologous products, there will be too much redundant change request, which will be obviously waste the R&D resource, makes delays in product development progress. Hence, the efficiency of change control is even more important. How to optimize change management system of Company M, coordinate the development of homologous products from same software platform, is the main subject of this paper to explore.By analyzing the R&D Changes Management System, with the actual projects behavior in Company M, we are trying to optimize the change manage management system for those homologous products from same software platform in Company M. The target is to avoid redundant change request which proposed because disordered change management, and then improve product development efficiency, saving cost.Firstly, according to the theoretical learning and interviews, we list those important factors which plays decisive role in change management process of M Company, also determine the direction of process improvement. Secondly, considering the validity factors and study objectives, using Six Sigma tools to optimize the R&D Change Management Process of Company M. After that, quantitative analysis of the optimization results, to see if the result meets our optimization targets. Finally, suggestion and opinions on such areas were provided.The finding shows:facility, logicality, stability, continuity and tractability of change management system evidently impact the implement of change management process in M Company. Seen from the actual project result, process optimization caused the effectiveness enhancement in change management system. Meanwhile, cost for product development was saved, development period was shortened.
