| With the arrival of the digital economy era,China’s software industry has experienced rapid development,with a significant increase in the number of practitioners and enterprises engaged in software development.Although the overall industry is expanding,most software development enterprises are still in their infancy,and compared to software companies in developed countries,there is a considerable gap in product core competitiveness and service quality.Ensuring efficient work and creativity of developers is crucial for addressing this issue,as they are the core production element for software companies.Therefore,a reasonable and scientific performance management system is necessary for software companies to enhance the cohesiveness of developers to the enterprise,attract,motivate,and retain talent,while also improving management efficiency and economic benefits.This article comprehensively uses field research,literature research,and case analysis to study the performance measurement,performance management,and application of software developers.Firstly,it summarizes the development of performance measurement,performance management,and application for software developers both domestically and internationally,and compares and analyzes the gap between domestic and foreign performance management.Secondly,it provides an overview of the relevant concepts and basic theories involved in performance management for software developers.Then,taking a listed company as an example,the article analyzes the performance measurement,performance management,and actual application effects of the software company from the perspective of organizational framework and personnel composition,and studies the main problems in the company’s performance assessment.In response to these issues,a performance management and application system for software developers is constructed from the aspects of selecting assessment indicators,designing weightings,assessment processes,checking and appealing assessment results.Finally,it proposes guarantee measures for performance assessment implementation from three aspects:organization,system,and personnel.The performance assessment indicators,application design,and guarantee measures proposed in this study can provide meaningful references for managers of software development enterprises,help them formulate applicable performance management strategies based on their own actual situations,improve performance management levels,and enhance market competitiveness. |
