An Empirical Study Of The Relationship Between Software Platform Development Performance,Distribution Performance And Operation Performance

In the era of Internet economy,the platform business model plays an important role in the global economy,according to the existing results showed: in accordance with the market value,the top 100 biggest companies,more than 60 companies half of its revenue obtained from its platform market.Software platform for the emerging business models based on the pattern of open source technology obtained the rapid development of "the software platform + end users,application software developers" platform business model is an important pattern software platform for the market.The software platform is a key link in the ecosystem of software platform,which links the end users and developers.Software platform ecosystem on its own capital,technology and other advantages have many end users and developers,and developers and end users through the platform are also can use different platforms to obtain various heterogeneous resources.It can be seen that the software platform does not exist in isolation,but interdependent,mutually dependent.Based on the existing achievements,this paper makes an in-depth analysis on the structure and operation of the software platform based on the software platform's attributes and features.Combination with resource-based theory,the open innovation theory,the platform theory and so on,to assess the software platform innovation performance and its evaluation,and the empirical study of the relationship between the three dimensions.This study provide an empirical test on the data of 30 software platform and their leading enterprises in China,adopting Hurlin' Granger causality test model test the relevant data of software platform development performance,distribution performance and operation performance,prove that the software platform development performance and distribution performance,development performance and operation performance,distribution performance and operation performance existed Granger-causality;By using fixed effect panel data model for the regression results shows that the influence of the software platform development performance and distribution performance,development performance and operation performance,distribution performance and operation performance are positive,and two-way relationship coefficient exist significant differences.This study has deeply revealed the relationship between software platform third-party developers,end users and software platform leading enterprise,explorethe strategic countermeasures for comprehensive promotion platform performance,has important theoretical value and practical enlightenment.
