| In recent years,with the proposal of "going global" and "the Belt and Road" initiatives,the internationalization process of Chinese enterprises has been constantly promoted,electronic and communication equipment manufacturing enterprises are also keeping up with the pace of the times and actively participating in the internationalization process.However,with the gradual disappearance of China’s demographic dividend and the technological blockade imposed by developed countries on China,Chinese enterprises have weakened their competitiveness in the international arena on the one hand,and on the other hand,it has also increased the difficulty for enterprises to obtain international technology spillovers.The 2018 US sanctions against ZTE have had a significant impact on ZTE and even the domestic electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry in the short term.Therefore,studying the effects,mechanisms,and heterogeneity of internationalization on innovation performance of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing enterprises in this context has important theoretical and practical significance.This article first introduces the background and significance of the topic,relevant literature review,research content and objectives,research methods and technical roadmap,main viewpoints and innovations.This study first elaborates on the two basic concepts of enterprise internationalization and enterprise innovation performance,and provides a detailed explanation of international technology spillover and resource-based theory,providing a theoretical basis for the following theoretical analysis.Then,analyze the development practices of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing enterprises in the industry,and grasp the current development status of the industry from a macro perspective.Focusing on analyzing the internationalization strategy and innovation performance achievements of listed companies through the case studies of ZX and GE,internationalization provides an important foundation for enterprise innovation from a specific development process.Through statistical analysis,it is concluded that the internationalization and innovation performance of the two companies show a positive correlation trend relationship.Furthermore,theoretically analyze the impact of enterprise internationalization on innovation performance,the mediating role of R&D investment in the relationship between enterprise internationalization and innovation performance,and the heterogeneity of the analysis of the impact of enterprise internationalization on innovation performance.At the same time,we continue to build an econometric model to verify that enterprise internationalization can promote innovation performance,and the results are still valid after considering endogenous issues and conducting robustness tests.In addition,R&D investment plays a part of the intermediary role in the relationship between the two.The conclusion of heterogeneity analysis shows that the internationalization of enterprises in the eastern region has a greater impact on innovation performance than in the central and western regions;The internationalization of high-tech enterprises has a greater impact on their innovation performance than that of non high-tech enterprises;The internationalization of private enterprises has a greater impact on innovation performance than state-owned enterprises.Finally,based on the main conclusions of this study,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from both the government and enterprises levels.Specifically,the government should actively promote the internationalization of electronic and communication manufacturing enterprises,support innovation in electronic and communication manufacturing enterprises,and further implement policies based on local conditions and enterprises;At the enterprise level,internationalization should be gradually promoted,R&D investment should be increased,and innovation environment should be emphasized. |
