The concept of “best-seller” originated in the United States at the end of the nineteenth century,and was later introduced into China in the 1990 s.With the development of the best-seller market,best-seller lists made by platforms such as Open Book,Dang Dang,Jing Dong and so on,have become important references for the mass audience to purchase books,the publishers to carry out market analysis and scholars to conduct related studies.Introduced literature best-sellers occupy a vital place in the market of best-sellers in China.In recent years,the market scale of introduced literature best-sellers has increased first and then experienced a downward trend,where the Stylization is obvious,along with the intensification of the Celebrity Effect,Herb Effect and Brand Effect of the author.The active demand for introduced literature books corresponds to cultural trends under certain historical conditions.This phenomenon not only reflects the hot spots of society and the growth of the publishers but also mirrors features of popular culture in society and the psychological demands of readers.Proceeding from the era and based on relevant bibliographic data,the author studies the introduced literature best-sellers of the top 30 from 2013 to 2022 due to the data query and analysis system of Open Book.Taking related cases of the monthly best-seller lists in the recent ten years from Open Book as a reference,the author concludes 22 figures,89 introduced original works and 96 introduced versions,using methodologies such as literature analysis,quantitative study,contrastive analysis,case study and summarized method.The thesis expounds on the market scale,the category and relevant traits of best-sellers from three aspects: introduced literature class,authors and the publishers of best-sellers that made the list.The system provides an overall view of the introduced literature best-sellers in China in recent ten years.On this basis,the author quotes relevant theories and specific cases from the perspective of changes in social development,psychological demands of consumers,social focuses,development of the publishing industry and best-sellers themselves as well as their authors and producers,investigating the contributing factors of best-seller lists.Besides,the author makes predictions and judgments for the development trends of introduced literature best-sellers in China,so as to offer suggestions for the introducing and publishing of literature books in the future. |
