In 2021,Henan TV launched its Spring Festival program “Tang Palace Night Banquet”,which became an instant hit and was followed by the “Chinese Festival”series and other programs.This article begins with a look at the cultural programs in China.This paper firstly compares the development history and current situation of cultural programs in China,takes Henan TV as the research object,applies the historical literature method,text analysis method and case study method,analyses the “Chinese Festivals” series of Henan TV from three aspects: national level,social environment and national consciousness.The 5W communication model is used as the basis to construct a communication model diagram for the “Chinese Festivals” series,analyze the relationship between various elements in the communication process and the mechanism of action,and analyze in detail the factors of top-level design,content form,audience orientation and media integration that contribute to the “Chinese Festivals”series.In addition,we analyze in detail the communication mechanisms that have contributed to the “breaking of the circle” of the “Chinese Festivals” series in terms of top-level design,content format,audience orientation and media integration,providing some theoretical references and references for future research on cultural programs in China.Finally,on the basis of evaluating the value of Henan TV’s breaking out of the circle,we analyze the current situation and bottlenecks in the development of cultural programs of other TV stations under the driving effect,and give reference and suggestions for the development of cultural programs in China.
