Research On The Reporting Framework Of COVID-19 In China Newsweek

The COVID-19,which broke out at the end of 2019,invaded the land of Jingchu with its powerful infectious and destructive power,and spread with the flow of people from the "Spring Festival transport army",causing a major public health disaster.The struggle against the COVID-19 is not only a people’s war on public health,but also an important test for the press.As a journal with certain influence,popularity and brand value,China Newsweek not only conscientiously performs the functions of the party and the national mainstream media,but also gives full play to its media positioning and role advantages.It has a certain outstanding performance in the reporting of the COVID-19,which is worthy of attention.This paper selects the epidemic situation reports from 2020 to April 2022 as the research sample,and summarizes the epidemic situation reporting framework and value role of China Newsweek from three levels:macro theme presentation,meso schema structure and micro expression based on the relevant theory of news framework.The study found that China Newsweek attached great importance to the COVID-19.The macro theme presentation used multiple cover stories to restore the epidemic picture,perceived the changes in risk,and kept readers alert to the epidemic.The news topics are summarized into four frameworks,namely "knowledge dissemination" "epidemic progress" "epidemic impact" and "scientific research achievements".The reporting perspective is comprehensive,providing an all-round and multi-level perspective on politics,economy and people’s livelihood,focusing on the impact of the epidemic.It can be concluded that the characteristics of the macro theme framework can highlight the overall situation,reflect on the construction of the medical and health system with the thinking of current politics,collect the global epidemic situation with an international perspective,and affirm China’s anti epidemic experience.The meso schema structure found that the epidemic situation report of China Newsweek focused on the main plot,supplemented by the thick background of the times,the authoritative guidance of experts and scholars,and causal reasoning;The schema structure is flexible.With the personalized adjustment of the theme framework,the individual story runs through the schema and integrates the empathy experience.The multi line context promotes the integrity of the epidemic facts.The orange petal combination logic of "news facts + multi-directional interpretation +views / future trend prediction" is used to form a strong layout.Micro expression finds that China Newsweek adopts the writing skills of interweaving the perceptual subject consciousness of news characters and the rational attitude of journalists.Under the guidance of positive publicity,it makes appropriate critical reports with a restrained and cautious tone and gives reasonable suggestions.SARS resources build a memory bridge,and the use of pictures gives visual impact,which can enhance the reliability and persuasion effect of the epidemic reporting framework.In the crisis of COVID-19,the epidemic reporting framework of China Newsweek can timely respond to social concerns,record anti epidemic stories,take into account the trend outlook,provide solutions to the problems exposed by the epidemic,and give play to the influence of the mainstream media.Finally,it analyzes the shortcomings of the epidemic reporting framework from a dialectical perspective,and puts forward targeted suggestions for improvement,so as to provide a good demonstration for the weekly and similar news media to report the epidemic situation in the future.
