Process Optimization Of The Information Management Of Aviation Material In C Airline

With the development of information technology,engineering information plays a more and more important role in supporting the traditional aviation maintenance industry.Material is one of the essential factors of production in the industry of aviation maintenance.In addition,the information of material is one of the most frequently used basic data in engineering information of aviation maintenance.The quality and the updating speed of material information has a direct impact on the engineering data of downstream maintenance activities,and it may further affect the physical operation of aviation maintenance.Thus,it is important to pay attention to the data quality and speed of data updating,and make continuous improvement to make it better serve the aviation maintenance.In the Engineering Department of C Airline,the information of aviation material,which involves different work areas of sub-departments within the department,is related to many different fields of information,such as asset management,financial settlement,technical specifications,and airworthiness.Although having realized the impact of material information on engineering and conducted centralized control,C Airline hasn’t formed an end-to-end process management system of material information yet.Regarding to the extant problems in the process of basic information management of aviation material in C Airline,this work puts forward a solution to optimize the specification,documents,and personnel of the process and also introduces an electronic process.The solution of the optimization has been implemented by using the PDCA cycle(Plan,Do,Check,Action)to resolve the practical problems at work.Through the optimization,the Engineering Department of C Airline has established an information management system of the aviation material,strengthened the control of data quality,and improved the work efficiency of the management of material information.
