| HINOC(High performance Network Over Coax)bridges the last 100 meters broadband access network using the out-of-band channel of Community Antenna TV(CATV)coaxial cable in the case of FTTB is widely deployed and used.This technology,using the existing coaxial cable with only the equipment like HINOC Bridge(HB)and HINOC Modem(HM)added,can provide the services of IPTV,SDTV/HDTV and surfing the internet.But the transmission bandwidth of existing HINOC system is still low.So the more fast and efficiency method is being considered.This paper is based on a National High Technology Research and Development Program(863 Program)-"Research and Chip Design of New Generation Broadband Access Technology Over Coax".At first,in accordance with the HINOC system and HINOC network protocol,a structure of the hardware coprocessor for HINOC MAC layer protocol(MAC coprocessor)is introduced.Improvement of the HINOC is briefly introduced.Then,the detailed design and implementation of a traffic classification method utilized in the MAC coprocessor is discussed and verified.The simulation validation method of the functional verification is followed.At last,HIMAC testbench and its important elements are introduced.This testbench is written in SystemVerilog and its efficiency is improved. |
