With the development of national industrialization and modernization,the per capita income has been continuously increasing,while the social structure is also moving towards a trend of deep aging.With the continuous improvement of China’s economic situation,the demands of the elderly are no longer limited to material satisfaction,but more towards personal spiritual satisfaction and self-worth.In such a social environment,China’s social view on aging and the development direction of senior universities have changed from focusing on "healthy aging" to "active aging".The positioning of senior universities has also changed from being a provider of educational resources to a sharer of educational resources.In this process,the happiness of the elderly has been widely concerned and valued by the government,society,and academia.The goal of elderly education has also shifted from education to elderly care.Therefore,studying the relationship between the sense of meaning of life,learning motivation,and social support of senior university students is of great significance for senior universities to understand the relationship between the elderly’s participation in learning and their sense of happiness.On the basis of sorting out the relevant domestic and foreign literature and questionnaire research on the sense of meaning of life,learning motivation and understanding of social support,this thesis creatively constructs the relationship model between the sense of meaning of life,learning motivation and understanding of social support of elderly college students.This study sampled from Shanghai S University for the Elderly,Shanghai C District University for the Elderly,and Shanghai T Road Neighborhood Community University for the Elderly,and used the Chinese Meaning in Life Questionnaire(C-MLQ)revised by Wang Mengcheng and Dai Xiaoyang,the Adult Learning Motivation Scale compiled by Li Liqun,and the Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS)revised by Jiang Qianjin as the measuring tools to statistically analyze 301 questionnaires collected,The reliability and validity of each scale were tested.At the same time,the results of correlation analysis and regression analysis show that: first,the overall level and dimensions of the sense of life meaning of the elderly college students are significantly positively correlated with the overall level and dimensions of learning motivation;Secondly,the overall level and dimensions of their sense of life significance are significantly positively correlated with the overall level and dimensions of their understanding of social support;Third,the overall level of learning motivation and its dimensions are significantly positively correlated with the overall level and dimensions of perceived social support;Fourth,understand that social support plays a partial intermediary role in the relationship between sense of life meaning and learning motivation.In addition,this thesis also discusses the demographic differences of the main variables through the analysis of variance.For this study,the following suggestions are put forward: First,from the perspective of improving the sense of meaning of life,improve the learning motivation of elderly college students,such as: carry out life education,and clarify learning objectives;Expand teaching space and improve learning experience.Second,from the perspective of enhancing the understanding of social support,improve the learning motivation of senior college students,such as: forming a learning community and enhancing the sense of belonging of students;Allocate auxiliary teaching staff and strengthen classroom support;Improve teaching interaction and strengthen learning motivation. |
