With the development and progress of the times,China has paid more and more attention to the development of national mental health.As the reserve backbone of national development,college students’ mental health level has greatly affected their development level.The prerequisite for college students’ self-development is the continuation of their lives.However,college students commit suicide and even kill others,What is revealed behind this behavior is that contemporary college students have great demand for mental health knowledge and life health education,and they are in urgent need of support in improving the sense of life significance.Studies have shown that the meaning of individual life is influenced by many internal factors,such as personality traits,depression,happiness,social support,suicidal ideation,psychological resilience and self-esteem,and external factors,such as negative life events and trauma.Among them,the individual’s perceived social support emphasizes the individual’s subjective feelings,and the social support resources they feel have an important impact on their mental health.Understanding the mutual influence between perceived social support and individual’s psychological resilience level,the enhancement of psychological resilience level has an important impact on individual’s physical and mental development.Individuals with higher psychological resilience level can achieve better adaptation in the face of adverse effects such as adversity,trauma and depression,and can better fully mobilize their own social support resources,so as to better develop themselves and reduce negative effects.Based on such findings,this paper aims to survey the status quo of college students’ sense of life meaning,to understand the relationship between them,and to explore ways to improve the sense of meaning in life.This study mainly includes four parts.In the first study,805 subjects were investigated with the Life Purpose Scale(PIL)to break down the status quo of college students’ life meaning.In the second study,805 subjects were investigated with(PIL),(PSSS),(CD-RISC)and(CES-D),and the relationship among perceived social support,psychological resilience,depression and sense of life significance was discussed.In the third study,30 subjects were recruited and divided into experimental group and control group,with 15 people in each group.The experimental group received intervention for 7 weeks,while the control group did not receive any intervention.In the fourth study,a subject who participated in group psychological counseling was given individual counseling.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The overall level of college students’ sense of life meaning is average.The difference of college students’ sense of life meaning in grade is significant.The total level of sophomore students’ sense of life meaning is higher than that of juniors and senior students.(2)College students’ meaning of life significance is positively correlated with perceived social support and psychological resilience,and negatively correlated with depression.Perceived social support is positively correlated with psychological resilience and negatively correlated with depression.Psychological resilience was negatively correlated with depression.(3)The relationship between the perceived social support and the meaning of life was affected by the chain mediating effect of resilience and depression(4)The group psychological counseling program of group acceptance commitment therapy has a significant effect on enhancing college students’ sense of life meaning.(5)Individual psychological counseling of acceptance commitment therapy has certain effect on the improvement of college students’ sense of life meaning.This study explores the present quo of college students’ sense of meaning in life and the relationship among perceived social support,psychological resilience,depression and that,which enriches the scope of contemporary research and provides ideas and perspectives for improving college students’ sense of meaning in life. |
