A Practical Study On The Employment Difficulties Of People With Disabilities In Resettlement Communities For Poverty Alleviation Through Social Work Interventio

Employment is fundamental to people’s livelihood.As a vulnerable group in society,the disabled have equal rights to participate in society and obtain employment.Since China implemented the policy of moving people from inhospitable areas,more and more disabled people have found jobs under the universal benefits of various employment and poverty alleviation policies.Although the implementation of the policy of employment and poverty alleviation for the disabled has increased the employment rate of the disabled in some of the relocated communities,the effect is not significant for the minority of disabled people who are willing to work but have not yet achieved employment.It is of great significance to solve the employment problem of the disabled in the relocated communities in inhospitable areas,which provides the possibility for social work,as one of the key forces in poverty alleviation,to intervene in the employment of the disabled.In this study,the disabled in zhenfeng County,Guizhou Province were selected as the research objects,and the interview and observation methods were used as the research methods to point out the internalization of disability "label",lack of employment skills and weak family support of the service objects at the micro level of individuals and their families.At the intermediate level of community and social work station,the dilemma includes limited community attention and job support and insufficient social work station service support;At the macro level of policy and culture,the employment dilemma is faced with insufficient policy environment support and low social inclusion.Guided by social support theory,empowerment theory and label theory,the study predicts the problems of service objects through the intervention of case work service,and makes service plans with service objects,which go through three stages of employment preparation,employment channel exploration and employment plan termination.The study found that the interwoven influence of internal and external environment and the objective reality of limited social resource allocation became the biggest factors hindering the employment of service objects,and social workers’ services to help employment had to be terminated.Based on this,this study reflects on the entire employment assistance services and puts forward suggestions to show the social support system for the disabled,improve the ability of social workers,create an inclusive environment for the employment of the disabled and promote the self-employment of the disabled.
