Family is the basic unit of society.Family harmony is related to social harmony and stability.With the continuous strengthening of the trend of family oriented floating population,the education of floating children’s families has attracted the attention of all sectors of society,and the public also put forward new requirements for family education.In terms of policy,the central government and relevant ministries and commissions explicitly required that attention be paid to family construction;In academia,education and social work,studies have shown that improper parental discipline will lead to psychological and behavioral problems of migrant children.How to improve the parental ability of migrant children’s parents has become a problem that social workers need to pay attention to and consider.At present,most migrant families have not fundamentally changed the concept of family gender division of labor.Mothers are still considered to be the most suitable person to take care of their children.Their upward mobility attitude and willingness to actively block the intergenerational transmission of poverty after working in cities give them a stronger need to improve their parental functions,which constitute the background of choosing "migrant children’s mothers" as the research object of this paper.In this study,212 mothers of migrant children in the L community were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey to analyze the status quo of the parenting ability of mothers of migrant children from three dimensions: parenting concept,parenting behavior,and parent-child relationship.Questionnaire method and interview method were used to clarify the problems of this group in parenting: the scientific and systematic concept of parenting is relatively weak,the positive parenting behavior is relatively lacking,and the in-depth and effective parent-child communication is relatively limited.With the help of capital theory,the reasons that affect their parenting ability are discussed: limited economic capital increases parenting pressure,weak cultural capital limits disciplinary ability,and limited social capital affects parenting effect.Based on this,we analyze their needs: first,cultivate a scientific concept of parenting and enhance self-reflection;second,standardize parenting behavior and learn positive discipline skills;third,reconstruct parent-child relationship and learn communication skills.Based on this,social workers provided positive and effective positive discipline learning and tools for the mothers of 8 migrant children through group work intervention and based on the positive discipline theory.In practice,the service object cultivated a scientific concept of parenting,standardized the parental behavior,reconstructed the parent-child relationship and strengthened learning effectiveness,so as to improve the parental ability.Through the effect evaluation of the practical process,it shows that the theoretical guidance is feasible,the application of group working methods has achieved certain results,the consolidation of results needs continuous practice,and the ability of social workers needs to be improved.Suggestions are put forward from the micro,meso and macro levels: social workers should empower and empower migrant children’s mothers,Schools and communities need to jointly promote the popularization of parental education,and society needs to create a good environment conducive to parental education for migrant children’s mothers,in order to improve the parental ability of migrant children’s mothers. |
