| There is an ancient saying:"It’s father’s fault if a child is just nurtured but not taught by him.It’s teacher’s indolence if teaching is not strict." From ancient times to the present,a family is always the first living space for man,and parents are the first teachers of children.Family education was born much earlier than school education.And it also played much more fundamental and important role than school education.However,parenting education(also known as parental education or parenting education)that is closely related to family education has been promoted in Western countries for less than a hundred years,as a specialized education that focuses on cultivating qualified parents.Education refers to assisting parents in understanding their responsibilities and providing knowledge,skills and correct methods to promote the healthy growth of children and adolescents so that they can play as competent parents in such an education process for.In short,it is an education that teaches people how to become successful parents.With the rapid economic development and accelerated pace of urbanization,many parents,especially floating children’s parents,have gradually withdrawn from the role of educators.Some have been forced to push the main responsibility of education to schools and teachers due to limited conditions.Some who have been negatively affected by surroundings cannot play role models through leading by example.And some are more affectionate or even spoil their children due to factors such as government’s One Child policy and parents’ unwillingness to allow children to endure hardships.and there are more or less ’vacancy’ phenomenon in the children’s education process.All of above-mentioned factors have greatly shaken the traditional education model.How to be good parents and how to cultivate good children has become difficult issues for many parents or prospective parents.As a behavioral science that assists individuals and society in problem solving and potential improvement,social work also pays attention to the needs of clients for parenting education,and tries to involve them.From the perspective of social work,this thesis is guided by social work professional theories and group work methods.Based on cognitive behavior theory and family system theory,adopting research methods including investigation and research methods(literature research method,questionnaire survey method),observation methods.Action Research Act and Social Work Assessment Act,I investigated and analyzed the situation of parenting education for migrant children in the urban community of A in Xindu District,Chengdu City,Sichuan Province.The data collected reflected ed the status quo and problems of parenting education for migrant children in A urban community.On the basis of this dilemma,we carried out six groups of activities to integrate mobile children and parent-education and evaluated the issues or dilemmas of reflective parenting education in the perspective of social work.We also emphasize that the involvement of group work is conducive to complementing and improving mobile family parenting education-related knowledge and skills.It provides a feasible support strategy and advice to promote a healthy development of migrant children’s parenting education,finally promoting professionalization development of social work as a profession,and also lay a certain theoretical foundation and reference for the related research in the future. |
