A Case Study On Stress Relief For Family Caregivers Of Children With Rare Disease

At present,the group of caregivers of rare diseases has received less social attention,but they are facing great pressure of life and care,their living conditions are worrying,and social work needs to be actively involved.Taking family caregivers of children with osteogenesis imperfecta as an example,this paper conducts a case study on stress relief of family caregivers of children with rare diseases.Children with rare diseases,as a minority group,live in predicament for a long time,and their family caregivers lack necessary social support.Family caregivers of children with rare diseases suffer from physical pressure due to long-term care of children;Pressure;because of limited social interaction,insufficient social support and other issues,they are under pressure from the social level.Physiological,psychological and social pressures can easily lead to unreasonable cognition and behavior of family caregivers of children with multiple effects.It is necessary to relieve the pressure of family caregivers of children with rare diseases and improve the social support network.This study is mainly based on social support theory and cognitive behavior theory,using unstructured interviews and participatory observation as the main research methods,taking family caregivers of children with osteogenesis imperfecta as service objects,and using case-based interventions Analysis and intervention of the stress of family caregivers of children with bone insufficiency.The study found that the families of children with rare diseases have weak social support,lack of medical knowledge,slow renovation of home barrier-free facilities,worrying health status of family caregivers,greater emotional fluctuations,limited social interaction,and suffer from physical,psychological and social differences.level pressure.This article provides ideas for social work to intervene in rare disease group services by presenting the process of case practice in the relief of stress among family caregivers of children with rare diseases.By analyzing and sorting out the case service process,it shows that social workers’ intervention in the cognitive behavior and social support of family caregivers of children can relieve their physical,psychological and social pressure during the care process.Finally,from the perspective of summarizing and reflecting,it is of certain theoretical value to demonstrate the applicability of social support theory and cognitive behavioral theory in stress relief services for caregivers of rare disease families.Practical application in stress relief for caregivers,put forward feasible suggestions,make use of the advantages of social work,establish a professional rare disease support team in the hospital,carry out medical social work,in order to establish perfect social support for children with rare diseases and their families system,provide more appropriate services,improve the living difficulties and relieve the pressure of life.
