| With the continuous acceleration of the development of social digitalization,people’s clothing,food,housing and transportation are increasingly inseparable from the Internet,which makes the elderly also have to learn and use the mobile Internet to meet their living needs.However,most of the current mobile Internet application designs are complicated and difficult to understand,and cannot match the declining perceptual and cognitive abilities of the elderly.Therefore,helping the elderly to bridge the"digital divide" through digital elderly-oriented design is an urgent problem that needs to be solved in recent year.This topic originates from the design project that the author participated in the Meituan APP design team of Beijing Sankuai Technology Co.,Ltd.(Meituan)—Meituan platform suitable for aging.As a typical life service company in the mobile Internet era,Meituan has a service scene close to offline,and the proportion of elderly users is also increasing year by year.In terms of digital aging,Meituan undertakes the dual mission of "social benefit+economic benefit".Therefore,Meituan is committed to helping elderly users to experience the digital life services of Meituan conveniently and without worry,and has made the first attempt to explore an aging-friendly version.The main content of this paper includes four parts:(1)Carry out the design hierarchy analysis on the characteristics of the elderly group,and summarize the multidimensional digital aging design principles;Mining user pain points and needs,and combining with the principles of digital aging-friendly design,integrate the design strategy;(3)According to the design strategy,sort out the product information structure,output a complete interaction design plan,and cooperate with the visual designer to complete the visual design plan;(4)Carry out usability testing and iterative optimization,and deliver it to R&D personnel for development and product launch.The innovation of this paper is that it summarizes the reusable digital aging principles,combines design research to obtain an inspiring design strategy,and completes the design of the elder version of the Meituan APP in terms of function,information structure and visual performance.Specifically:(1)In terms of theoretical analysis,this paper analyze the characteristics of the elderly group from the three design experience levels of perception,cognition,and emotion,and combine data research to summarize and output multi-dimensional digital age-appropriate design principles.This principle can be reused in the later iteration projects of this design or other related design projects to improve the work efficiency of designers;(2)In terms of design practice,this paper completes the design of Meituan’s first aging-friendly version,which is of great significance for Meituan’s further aging-friendly reforms;(3)In terms of design thinking,the strategy of "attraction-dare to use-able to use-easy to use-continuously wanting to use",which proposed in this paper,has certain enlightening significance in the research and practice of derivative aging digital design. |
